As well as Weirdos on Bikes blog describing the Ruta John Hayes blog illustrates the Dehesa, Roman archaeology and best of all his Reilly Gradient on the Ruta del plata. Both accounts are full of info. Johns includes the links into Santiago Compestalla But best do it quick because he's writing a cic...

The Heatmap mentioned by Scotroutes is also really good for planning too - quite a bit of cycle traffic that way

Re: Scotland - Beta on Etive and Rannock
I missed that thread in my search - probably due to my spilling. Has the bog porn been deleted to protect the innocent? They aren't showing on my pc. Anyway I'm going to plan to stick with plan-a and go the east side of Etive and across Rannoch from the Kings House. For anyone interested I'm going t...

Re: Scotland - Beta on Etive and Rannock
I read that thread - very useful thanks. The west coast of Etive is definitely plan-b but I'm hoping there is not too much more HAB on the east side. The first part to Kinglass is a bit of a trip down (Up?!) memory lane which I'm keen to repeat

Scotland - Beta on Etive and Rannock
Hello! Im planning on an Oban to Montrose crossing in May. Has anyone biked up the East side of Loch Etive past the entry to Glen Kinglass (Ive been that way before to Bridge of Orchy) to get to the Kings House? Im hoping its then possible to take the Rannoch Moor Crossing via the Black corries lodg...

The plymouth Roscoff ferry and the options when youre over their make it a fave place to go even for a short trip - couple that with rolling across dartmoor and down the plym valley line and on to the port - classic stuff. Have a good trip!

Hi just picked up your question! I guess you may be there already but here goes - after a clockwise circuit from Roscoff to finesterre via Route 8 and the bits of Route 5 along the south we caught the mini ferry from Le Fret on the Crozon to Brest and then the local cycle route heading north east to...

Brittany
Excellent trip with family on a clock wise circuit/pootle for 2 weeks through Brittany largely on Voie Vertes. Used Cycle.travel for planning a GPX track and OSM for following on the GPS. La Rigole Voie verte was nice and linked into the Blavet river route which provides a quick way south. Around th...

I bought a full length Klymit V Ultralight slim Mat from Ultralight outdoor gear earlier this year. Ive found it very comfortable. Sometimes I take a Thermarest trekker pillow which is super comfy and makes my sleeping set up really cosy. Almost too cosy.

Glen Clova to Glen Esk
I'm planning some autumn fun based on an expanded Cairngorm loop - can anyone recommend a route they have done from Glen Clova to to Glen Esk? My arm chair route-plan is via Loch Brandy into Glen Esk - which I walked many years ago. I remember that the going is steep but the route across the top bei...
