Front and rear brakes have a different spacing between the flange that sits flush with the dropout, and the disc flange.that's why the pugsley needs 2 rear brakes, as it is 135 OLD both ends. Simples.... :D

Re: July Scotland trip
Hi Dusza, you could try "smidgie", works for me, and they love me!!!
As for the ferry you can just get on no problem, they are even ok with bikes...sounds like a good trip.

Re: Culra Bothy Trip
Thanks guys, @Ray, the gearing is currently 32-20 with an Alfine8 hub, though I have just bought a 22 for the back. It's fine for most stuff but I find long inclines(x Km) quite unpleasant when loaded. I am confident that you could get around to Loch Ossian from here, and so on to Fort Bill etc. A l...

Culra Bothy Trip
So I finally got out overnight on my Singular, built as a bikepacker/adventure bike(delete to taste!) Started at the cafe in Dalwhinnie, just a short drive down the road from me, the plan was to cycle up the track along the Loch and drop down into the bothy via the path that runs under Ben Alder. ht...

Re: overnight jacket
What size are you? I have a Rab microlight in xl that I am selling, brand new with tags still on.
It's black, and I would say that it is a fairly close fit. For an XL. £95 posted if it is any use.
Gari.
Pics if required, just email me at garibeet. At. Medotcom

Hi Ray, am very keen though the later it is the more likely midges are going to be!! They usually peak end of July, August and September.....
I am flexible regarding dates, I just need enough notice to sort out my time off, a week or two is usually enough.

@Ray, I am up for that. Are you doing the WHW on a rigid, loaded bike? I plan to do it sometime in May but on my full suss bike and very little baggage!

Just saying Hi
Just thought I would introduce myself. I am currently living close to Aviemore, and have just finished building a ss bike packing bike, maiden voyage yesterday up Glen Einich. Burnt to a crisp and the legs were a little unsure of the whole " one gear thing" but so far so good. I bought one...
