Thanks for the replies.
I have been umming and arrghing for a bit too long so just pressed the button on an evoc bag. Going away next week, so couldn't sit on the fence any longer.
Cheers,
Giacomo

Bike Bags for Planes
Hi all, I'd like to invest in a decent bike box/bag to take on planes. I've read good things about the evoc pro bags and I've used the biknd jetpack (was fantastic). They're both quite pricey though. Needs to fit 29er and a road bike (not at the same time). The standard evoc bag seems to require add...

I've a PHD K series something or other... It's amazingly light at about 400g... I love it.
PHD care a great deal about their products and the people using them. Customer service is fantastic.

Re: Bivvying .... ever get unwanted guests?
Wild Boar outside my tent grunting and digging during the Tuscany Trail this year... Those things are big and loud. All I was thinking is, how the hell do I get out of my sleeping bag and tent if it decides it wants to investigate this strange thing in his neighbourhood...

Re: BB200 Fast'n'light or Pack for a kip'n'brew?
Last year the BB200 was my first event of this type. I packed everything that I thought i'd need... Very warm/heavy sleeping bag, tarp, bivy bag, stove and lots of spare clothes. My bike weighed a ton. It was also a singlespeed with a ridiculous ratio for the welsh countryside. It was very hard, but...

I've bought from bikeinn before. After a week and a half with no sign of my parcel I contacted them to find out what was going on. They apologised and posted it with a courier on next day delivery... So they f*cked up but sorted it once they were notified...

I've a PHD Minimus K Series. Not cheap, but fantastic warmth to packability ratio...
I'm a warm sleeper and have used down to 0 degrees and been fine with a Neoair mat.

Re: Sleeping bag upgrade
I've just bought a PHD Minimus bag from their ready made section. It was £258. Quite a lot but I've only heard excellent things about them. They currently have one called a minix or something like that which is in their 'summer lightning' range. Looks to be a great bag for £199. They also have excel...

Re: Finding Numo aka I need a new sleeping mat.
I bought my girlfriend a thermarest neoair (the light yellow one). She loves it. When she's not using it I tend to borrow it. Its much much better than my multimat superlite. Bigger pack size, but its way more insulated!
It also feels very well made and should last the test of time.

Re: Fuel for stove in Iceland
Hi, I have been to Iceland a couple of times and always carried an MSR pocket rocket with screw on type gas cannister. Never had any trouble finding gas. Quick tip: On arrival to Iceland, (presuming you'll get into Reykjavik) head over to the campsite on Sundlaugavegur http://www.reykjavikcampsite.i...

Re: Which part of the world do you live, and do you like it?
I live in SW London. Been here for 6 years. I do enjoy living 30 min cycle from her majesty, but I'd prefer to be 30 min cycle to the countryside - it's more interesting. It's an hours drive for me to get anywhere worth riding. Longing to find the perfect job that gets me somewhere a bit more rural....
