Re: FS OT: Canon 400D, Sigma 10-20mm and other bits

To try to drum up some interest I can split it down further. Open to any reasonable offers on the Sigma 10-20mm lens, ideally want 200 but I'm flexible. Though the camera is an older model it's a good base to start from and there's enough kit there with it to get anyone started. Offers around 200 qu...

Never use it, could use some money so looking to get rid of my iPad 2. 32gb wifi model in black. No case, don't have the original charger but will supply a working one. Screen is in good condition, fully working, battery lasts a decent amount of time and charges properly. Looking for £120 delivered.

Re: Commute by bike, How far, how often

Envious of people who can cycle commute to work. Obviously not on wet, windy, miserable days though. My job involves a company van that is kept at home overnight, so if I did cycle to work I'd have the slight problem of the van being in the wrong place. Would love to have a job where a cycle commute...

Re: Anyone else much prefer tarp to tent?

Death by dutch oven is not fun. To the extent that both myself and the wife have a mutually enforced ban on farting when in a tent together, even though we both find farting for the other's discomfort hilarious under normal circumstances. Too much risk of collateral damage in a tent.

Good thinking. Had brake hose issues over the weekend after strapping my drybag to the bars, and realised the front hose was rubbing on the tyre. Noticed a few miles before it rubbed all the way through...

Re: Bike packing - How to tempt the girlfriend / wife

Any tips on convincing them to try wild camping would be appreciated. We've got as far as bikepacking involving campsites, which is progress as previously she was adamant that car camping was the only way she could camp and have the "essentials". Done 3 trips so far, the furthest afield be...

FS iPad 2 64gb WiFi Black

Got this thinking I'd use it more than I do, and so looking to get rid. Don't have the box for it or the original charger, but do have the original lead. In good condition, all working as it should. Looking for £185 posted

Re: North East, anyone fancy it?

Mid-week could be a possibility, but I'd need to be up and off early as I'd have to get home to pick up my van to get to work. Being the tea man is great, but limits commute options to "drive van from home to work"

North East, anyone fancy it?

All a bit vague at the moment but wanting to get out for some proper overnighters soon that don't involve rocking up at a campsite. So wanting to know if there's anyone else in the Durham/Consett/Darlington/Newcastle sort of area wanting to get out too.

Re: 'newish' bit of luggage from Alpkit

Be interesting to see what the pricing is like. Been debating getting a seatpack as the Tesco-special dry bag that I've been using for the job is a right faff to fit and remove (involves taking the seatpost out every time) and isn't tapered in any way. With the webbing ladder it'll be nice and easy ...

Wanted to go, but this is the one bank holiday we don't get at work and couldn't convince the other half that dragging ourselves over to Wales for 2 days was worthwhile.
