Open to offers- Giro Alpineduro size 42 (but more like 41)
Unused other than trying them on in the house. Found they’re smaller than what I’d expect for size 42. Footbed measures 260mm long and 90mm at its widest. Worth comparing with your other footwear to judge whether they’re good for you. They also come with black laces, should you want more subtle feet...

Re: Close encounters with the wild kind!
I was riding through wentwood forest one evening with Ruth. Having zipped down a nice section of single track I passed a couple on a quad bike. I was focusing on the trail and said hi on passing. Ruth caught up - ‘did you see that? I’ve never seen naked quadbikes before’.

For me it was the summer of 92. Finished uni, yet to have a job, just seen an article in MBUK about 2 guys riding down the GR5. Had plans to go to chamonix anyway so why not take the bike? Took the euroexpress to Geneva and biked south on my kona explosif (well discovered major hike a bike) along th...

Re: Recommend 3-4 man family bikepacking tent
I bought a vango pulsar 300, after a bit of research, with a plan to put the family in the tent, myself and the dog on the porch. It’s a little heavier than 3kg, but I’d be happy strapping it to my handlebars. I haven’t tried this set up yet, but the space the tent and porch provides should cope wit...

Unused so in very good condition. Bought originally for fell running, but my knees complain too much now. £55 posted. If you’ve interested I’ll send over some photos.

SMD Deschutes Solo
In playing around with the TLS principle, and looking for a shelter system that looks able to handle wild camping in the uk, I quite like what the SMD Deschute solo offers. Reviews talk about being able to peg it out low on the back windward side, but this brings the front porch end up higher. Has a...

I think it’s got something to do with our caveman genes, when the dark cave or woods were somewhere to avoid. Or maybe too many evenings watching Friday night hammer house of horror and Dracula movies ! I used to go on night runs and there’s this long track through a beech wood just like the one in ...

Iceland this September - variation on the Glacier 360
Hi all. I'm planning a one week bikepacking trip in Iceland mid September loosely following the Glacier 360 route, riding from Reykjavik. Flying out from Manchester. See https://www.glacier360.is/ It's going to be an experience for a range of reasons - volcanic desert riding, weather and wind potent...

Great ! Some good suggestions there. I had also thought of a strip of pvc stitched to the inner face of webbing attachment strap. I'm going to play with the options. Cheers

Anti-slip material for saddle pack
Hi. In an attempt to overcome that swing affect on my next myo saddle pack, I'm trying to track down a supplier of the anti-slip fabric the likes of Apidura and Alpkit use on the contact points with the seat post.
Any suggestions ?
