Re: New bike time

The Claris shifters have been fine. I've ridden the bike everyday since getting it and had no problems. The vagabond looks great too but I've got s longitude for the rougher stuff so the cda suits my needs better. I was torn between that and the croix De fer but I'm glad I went for the cda now. I us...

Re: Question from a newbie to tubeless

Yes, you can add sealant through the valve once the core is removed. You'll need a fair bit for a fat tyre. I use the stans injector to top up my sealant.

Re: Footpaths

I think I answered my own question today. I plotted a route which included footpaths and rode it today. I found that the majority of the footpaths didn't have a single person in them and so I had no problem. A few parts ran straight through farm yards, I was cautious here and pushed the bike rather ...

Re: Packing

I definitely could do with help regarding packing. I've been on trios were it seems I've taken similar kit (weight & size) but packed it far worse than others. I'm learning thiugh. I noticed last time out that wrapping my permavent floor mat around my sleep Matt doesn't take up much more space a...

Re: Footpaths

Good advice, thanks guys. I would view a footpath in the peak district as more off limits due to walkers. Footpaths through countryside / farms are probably more of a land owner issue rather than upsetting the odd dog walker.

Re: Footpaths

I've not used many footpaths myself but ended up on one through a farm last week. Rode past the farmer on his tractor and I slowed to Ask if I was ok as I wouldn't want to look like I was taking the Mick. He didn't even give me a second glance so I just carried on eventually with no problem. Footpat...

Footpaths

I'm curious to hear people's experience of riding on footpaths? Or your feelings towards it. I'm keen on putting in more off road miles but having studied local OS maps it seems warrington is full of footpaths but not a lot of bridleways. Im sure there's off-road places to ride a bit further a field...

Alright Stu, I had a similar issue when I has the hunka xl. I loved everything about it except getti g in and out through the top. In the end I went for a custom bag from bespoke ultralight. I'd recommend him!

Re: Blackburn Outpost Bar bag

I've got that handle bar roll. I haven't tried it with a bigger bag but I can't see it being a problem. There's enough excess in the straps to hold something bigger. The blackburn bag is quite slim and probably a bit too 'heavy duty' but it works well and has Velcro on it which secures it to the har...

Ali lanshan 1 £40

I bought this last year, it's not been used but I did unpack it to put some extra seem seal on the tie outs. I've just bought a bearpaw lair so I don't need the lanshan. It doesn't include a pole.
