Re: How many bikes is too many

5 ish ( there is a 6th that is hung up for sentimental reasons but too small and needing a refurb).

5 should really be 4 though but the Cotic didn't sell.

I have had 7 at one point though.

Oh yes, so true.

My Chipper lived on with bent forks for a long while.

Re: The Raleigh Story BBC4 21.00 tonight (15/3)

With my background of 2 'skip build' Raleigh's as a kid (a Chipper and a frame only built up Rodeo) and then my first MTB (ATB) being an 1985 Maverick, I enjoyed the overview it gave.

I never got the newsletter (although it says my email is already signed up) and it is not in my spam either.

I feel cheated and deprived

Re: Fs price drop medium pinnacle ramin 3+ upgraded as new,

Still can't believe this hasn't sold. I have given up on selling my Solaris tbh. No interest and few going for either rubbish money or not selling when I looked on eBay.

All the best with the sale.

Re: The Perfect Bike Packing Bike

I'm going to echo an earlier comment and day something from Surly, so an ECR or KM.

But I'm biased having 2 Surly's anyway

@ scotroutes
Thank you so much.

I'm getting withdrawal symptoms. It is such a friendly and helpful place. I've learnt loads.

Hope it works out.

Thanks again.

UK fatbike forum

Anyone know what happened to it?

It's seem to be down a few days. Not really seen much other than jokes in the STW thread. But I know some from here use it. Any news?

Re: New 29er fork?

I got on alright with reba's.

Then the next bike had X fusion which went back and forward to the distributor (long story). But I'm not a fan overall of them.*

Now my latest has Fox. So far so good but very early days so can't say too much.

*For me, at least, as a light rider.

In my shallow, colour infused world I'm also looking at superstar grinder grips. Any experience with these?

Esi chunky v racers edge

I had some racers edge grips in the past. They were ok but never offered the fabled comfort I'd heard so much about from ESI grips. On reflection perhaps they may have a touch too skinny for my long fingers. Anyway I'm tempted to try some chunky versions. Partly due to the colour as I'm sad like tha...

Yeah

Too 'short' for all day b/packing I'd reckon.
Well my new 'dilemma' about keeping both the KM OPS and mk1 Solaris (oh and a fatbike) seems less stressful now. Thank you :-bd
