Thanks for the callout to Bauhaus, Greg. Forgot I had this little gem...
In The Flat Field is such a good tune.

@ Dave - the lads in Alchemist I've known for a long time. I have lost count how many times I saw them live...and I consider myself fortunate to have both opened for them and headlined on a bill with them. Seek out Jar of Kingdom - that was the era I saw them do pubs and clubs in Canberra. Stunning ...

I heard Gwen before No Doubt, she was part of the Long Beach punk/dub scene and did a couple of duets with one of my favourite bands Sublime Yup...the whole LBC was pretty good back then. Sublime gets good airplay here...Garden Grove is a perennial...but without a sub and a well treated room, you'l...

Great thread. Enjoyed seeing a wide mix. Lately...it's been a lot of Melt Banana (Cell Scape/Teeny Shiny), Godflesh (Pure/Streetcleaner), Nasum (Shift/Inhale-Exhale) and Obituary (Slowly We Rot). When the caffeine levels hit the right peaks...Dark Angel (Darkness Descends) is about the velocity to w...

@Steve - Vulpine may be considered gravelwanker these days, but their merino riding tops are nice. Way nicer than my BaaBaa. Got mine 2nd hand and wore it to death.

Re: Shirts for the discerning gentleman
I found a short sleeve, work type shirt from Arcteryx in a sale bin across the pond a while back. Great cut for riding in. Appreciate it doesn't compete with 1 squid bamboo on the price scales...but if you can find 'em, they're good enough to ride or go to work in. Missus says I look sharp in it and...

Yeah....I get this....I mean...look at where I am now. Still not sure if it was smart, stupid or some grey area between that isn't worth two knobs of goat sh!te. My problem is I get these stupid ideas with complete and utter disregard there's a reason I haven't done that in the first place. All said...

Back when I got mine, my thought was more that if I'm in the middle of nowhere and the SPOT gets used, I can be seen easily. There's been many times I've wished for the camo version though. Nice pull fella.

No beer? Just need to increase your calories if you're burning 'em off that fast. The UK poultry industry will welcome your patronage as you decimate their chicken and egg stocks. Once you've cleaned them out you can move onto your next food source. : ) Alas....glued to the desk at the moment....on ...

Used a alu Superfly...once with bouncy Fox and alu bars...once with rigid Niner RDO and carbon bars. I'll use the same setup - eggbeaters/2.1 Nano or 2.0 NineLine/SDG Belair when I make time to return. Carbon bars/fork was a good combo for me out there.

Eternally jealous of the lovely pics. Stuck at the desk this weekend having managed to get picked for on-call.
Y'all have a cracking weekend. I'll hoist one to the north on Monday when I can get stuck back in.

Both my Bonty Mustangs and more recently DT Swiss Splines are centerlock. Even a three-thumbed monkey like me can't get 'em wrong. No problems in 6 years with 'em.

WRT for me....was looking forward to quaffing a few jars with you lot before, during and after the event.
I do TNR every 2 years...was hoping to return if not to start with 'em, just to ride the route. James giving the Coq to the Germans will live on forever.

Finally built the Flyxxi carbon I got from Al a couple of years ago. Got screwed on a set of CrossMax hoops...ended up with Splines...and even those came with XD body instead of Shimano...grrrr! Threw on some old Nano and Nineline tyres that were laying about. I've never had such a struggle...the la...
