Re: Long term lights: real world reviews

Exposure joystick mk5 I've had this light for about 5-7 years and its only just starting to show its age. I thought it was expensive when I bought it, but glad I did. 300 lumens. Well built. Stands up to a lot of abuse on my helmet. Its just about bright enough (it was heck of a trade up from a £9....

New bike advice

I'm searching for a new bike for bikepacking. I'm looking for a 29er hardtail/rigid with boost compatibility with enough clearance for b+. Owing to the fact I already have a set of b+ on a full sus bicycle. I'll be able to swap the wheelsets between the 2 bikes giving me 4 possible setups. More spac...

Yes. It's always on the 1st bank holiday in May weekend, which falls on May 1st this year.

There's also a bearbones calendar floating around somewhere

I had the very same problem on my cable disc commuter this morning! Haven't had a chance to check it out yet.

Re: WRT Lonely Hearts Club 2016

Hi Scott. I think I remember. We rode ahead through lots of gates on the sat. I had the black felt 29er.

Can't wait for the final route chew. Thanks for organising

Re: Charging

If you're planning on doing a lot of riding in the dark have a look at the exposure piggy back. I have a portable battery I use for charging my phone but its quite old and heavy. The newer ones are much lighter

Hey Scott. I remember you. You had the banshee 200. If you're as fit as last year I don't think there will be a problem. We made it round didn't we?

Re: WRT Lonely Hearts Club 2016

Haha. Yes. I think I'll be leaving a lot of stuff behind this year. Which LHC member were you last year Artie? The other guy bivvying in the delapidated cow shed I presume. Though I have to say that hammock was damn comfortable the year before when I rode solo

I'm in. See you again this year. Got a better understanding of sleeping bag ratings now though and won't be packing a bag designed for the tropics.

Re: WRT. I'm getting nervous

For those that are worrying about route planning. I went last year with a couple of OS maps, the grid references and a general direction (clockwise) in mind. I didn't specifically plan the route and I enjoyed (most of) it. It's more of an adventure than following a garmin. Also plans can change acco...

Dynamo Recommendation

Hello!

Its time to replace my front hub and I thought I might as well get a dynamo hub.

Anyone have any recommendations on something that would stand up to the abuse it would get being fitted to my MTB?

+ 1 for the club. I am from South Wales. This is my third WRT. I have moderate riding skills and unfortunately another snorer.
