Re: Clement Xplor MSO tubeless? Anyone?
Whenever I have trouble getting a tyre to seat I just keep adding more tape and eventually they go up! Even none tubeless on a standard rim!

Re: Glueless patches?
The Park ones have been ok, I had a couple fail but that was after a good while and long after I should of replaced the tube. Also being a cheapskate I cut them down into 4 tiny patches so I can't complain if they did fail but this isn't an issue for me now as I only run Tubeless so they're just a b...

Re: Blackburn Outpost or Wildcat Tiger Drover
Just last week I gave my new Widcat drover it's first outing on a 3 day trip in the Peak District, for the last couple of years I've been using one of the first generation Alpkit koala's and I have to say I prefer the holster system and the quality of the holster is excellent. I don't think the pict...

Re: Tent for hiking border England Scotland
Or you might be able to pick up a second hand Terra nova laser comp on ebay? I got mine off ebay for £130 and was in mint condition. It's always worth having a look and checking the classified sections across the different outdoors forums too. Alpkit Ordos 2 man at 1.3kg for £195 is hard to beat at ...

Re: Overshoes that will withstand hike-a-bike
I I once tried Endura MT500s and like all endura stuff, whilst on the face of it looked good, in reality are crap - they fell apart afer 2 months of road commuting and walking between the bikeshed and the office.... Also my experience of Endura! I tried the neoprene socks, and they are much the sam...

Specialised have been on the bikepacking bandwagon for sometime with Ultra romance and the Adventure Despatch. They also provided Leal Wilcox with her bikes for her 2 TD runs last year and this year's Trans Am so this just seems to be a progression to what they're already doing.

Re: A carbon Shand...
There is a slight difference in the measurements between the different sizes on the Shand website compared to the one's given on the Chinese website! Is this the subtle difference?

Re: Attaching cages to suspension forks
I will give these a try when I can get hold of some http://www.bikepacking.com/gear/king-ca ... hing-cage/ Do you really want to be putting jubilee clips round your frame if you don't have to? I like King stuff generally but that really doesn't look like the neatest solution out there. I would use ...

Re: Uk Divide Route?
There's an off road jogle route and there's been an England Wales England bikepacking event but I think any attempts at time trailing the jogle route have failed due to the technical nature of UK bridleways making it such a tough pyshical test of endurance. The fast guy's on the TD would probably fi...

Re: Coffee makers
If i'm solo & traveling light I will just take the press out of a cafetiere and unscrew the parts so it packs down then screw it back together and use it with a myti mug, which it fits perfectly. When i'm out with the missus we tend to use a small 3 shot espresso mocha pot which isn't the lighte...

It has confirmed to me that I need to go ride there because for years I have thought that Georgia would be a great place to explore on a mtb and has been high on my "to do" list and is even higher now..

The new on one maccatuskil 29er might be one to keep an eye on, lighter than the lurcher, more expensive but I would bet they come down to a more reasonable price soon. http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/FROOMAC/on-one-maccatuskil-carbon-29er-frame Bit new to have any reviews it seems When I feel like it'...
