Wheel build comments ref. the ideal Dyno wheel for bike packing and touring

I'm looking to get a Dyno hub boost wheel build and would be grateful for your wise/learned experience and comments please. Use: 1) XC use in the UK, predominantly in the South coast area. 2) Bike packing/touring abroad. Dirt/gravel roads/single track and nothing too extreme. Have heard good things ...

Re: Trail Gaiters

Interesting topic for me. I always use overshoes in wet weather or when it's muddy or cold and never have a problem. Clearly I don't want to wear them when it's dry but then notice a lot of objects entering my shoes which is very annoying. So watching with interest to see the different options sugge...

Re: Own up - who's lost a bike on the M9

There's only the front end left - wonder where the rest ended up? The article says police believe the bike came off on the opposite carriageway....which begs the question of how much bouncing, being hit by other vehicles etc before making it's final jump across the central reservation and into this...

Re: Own up - who's lost a bike on the M9

Crikey that must have been a shock for the driver....and probably the loser if they were unaware of having lost it. I've never lost a bike but many years ago we had an old caravan and on getting to our destination, I noticed it was a bit brighter than normal inside. I then discovered we were missing...

3D Printing

Whilst searching the net for bike packing stuff I came across this 3D printing site with lots of files for various items some of which look very useful. I haven't got a 3D printer but f I knew the product would be fairly good I would consider trying 1 or 2 items if I could find someone with a suitab...

Wanted: Carradice Expedition support rack

With or without the support struts.
Might also consider something like a Super C saddlebag to go with it but otherwise will make do with my ancient camper long flap.

I just need the brackets that attach the rack to the seat stays, as I have all the other bits.

Wanted: Sonder Frontier XL (or possibly another XL bike packing bike).

Hi, I'm after an XL Frontier if you have one or know someone selling one. Might consider another XL MTB suitable for bike packing/touring but don't need anything fancy or posh 😂 just something that will cope with being loaded up, chucked about on planes, trains and automobiles. Ideally boost hub so ...

Just wondered if anyone had any experience/update on how the pedal cell performs, especially in wet and muddy conditions? It's been a while since the last post on this subject. If it wasn't for the doubts I have over the mud etc in think this would be better and cheaper than going down the Son hub r...

Re: BG Duro/ GB Divide

Will be interesting to see whether it will be a MTB or gravel bike that takes first place. A experienced ultra rider I know pulled out after taking quite a battering on his gravel bike with 45mm tyres. Said he had wished he had taken a MTB.
First time dot watching and very interesting 😁

Re: Purbeck Bimble, Dorset, weekend of 3/4th July

As a local, I've always thought that route a bit convoluted, and missing some of the best descents in the Purbecks. I would suggest riding the Purbeck parts of Charlie's Gravel Dash route and adding in Woodhyde and Franks Tank trails. Go to Arne to sit on the beach as well if you like, but Studland...

Make your own Strip of metal drill* the holes where you want Fit i used cut off from a 90 degree bracket mount for mine as this had the advanatge of not having to drill any holes I just had to use a hacksaw to cut it, Cost 35 p time taken - 5 minutes * weight weenies will cut the metal so its only ...
