Re: New Bivi Bag time..
Hey ‘redefined’ I recently aquired the neo air xtherm mat too, a mat upgrade for me but haven’t tried it outside yet, crinkles like a crisp bag tho when inflated for inspection indoors, will be interesting to see how it blocks the cold on an overnight trip. Re bivvy choice..... as well as Rab ascent...

Re: New Bivi Bag time..
Wanted a bivvy that would pack into a Revelate Sweetroll bar bag but looking at yr pic, it might just compact down to go in one of the Salsa Anything bags instead

Re: New Bivi Bag time..
If I had the time, I'd probably have a go!!!
Meanwhile, have also been researching a suitable bivvy - don't want to carry the tent on all expeditions.
The Rab Ascent says its breathable and waterproof + don't mind a bit of extra weight to stay warm and dry - anyone else used one of these?

Aw dam would like to have seen the Indiana Jones thing. Never mind. Will def. be using an alternative bridge crossing if any of these fords are looking a bit too frisky. Not bothered bout me, just don’t want the bike and gear getting washed away  I’ve marked the ones u have pointed out on the...

Re: Trans Cambrian Way - Easter?
Hi Lazarus, I just received a copy of the IMBA UK maps for the route at the end of last week. Their info page mentioned five major ford crossings which they say, “can be treacherous after heavy rain”. So I was kind of referring to that perhaps I should have said Ford crossing and not river. It all s...

Trans Cambrian Way - Easter?
Greetings all -
Anyone with Trans Cambrian Experience pl.? Was considering one way, end of April 2019 (on a gravel bike). Is the route too muddy/ bag of shi*e at this time of year/ worth doing anyway?
