Re: Car Share to WRT from Sussex area?
Hi there. Should be able to squeeze you in. I'm driving up from seaford on the Saturday morning, picking a mate and his bike up from a train station somewhere en route. There are a few bits to iron out, but put me down as 90% good for it!

Re: wtd, complete disc brake set
Probably a bit lo fi, but I bought a ridiculously cheap clarks set of hydraulic mtb brakes for 36 posted new including rotors and mounts and I've found them to be excellent. V easy to cut hoses to length (they even include spare olives etc) and braking is more than adequate for me at 90kg with 160mm...

Re: Bike insurance
+1 for pedalcover. Happily yet to make a claim, but seem decent and cheaper than alternatives. Also provide insurance that covers excesses on their and other policies, eg car insurance, which is included and a great idea.

A selection of forks
Somehow I've accumulated far too many pairs of (mainly road) forks. Help me out. All prices include UK postage, but Sussex collection welcome for a fiver less. If you think I'm off with the pricing, make me an offer. And drop me a line if you've any questions. Reynolds 531 steel fork. 247mm threaded...

Re: Wtd - last bits for build...
No, the problem was on a different bike with an SP dynamo. The bb7 is going on a tandem with a normal small flange hub, so I'm hoping it won't foul. The spyres will be going on a 3rd bike with another SP dynamo and, from what I've read, the fouling is relatively common with these hubs. Managed to so...

Re: Wtd - last bits for build...
Thanks folks! Yes please to both offers - also need a single disc for a tandem, so the bb7 will be very useful. I've struggled with the front (hydraulic) caliper just clipping the nds spoke elbows, so was thinking of trying a bigger rotor on the front on this build. Are there any disadvantages to go...

Oh bugger, I have literally just bought an SP dynamo online. That said, I think I'm probably punching below SON weight, but thank you very much for the offer!

Nothing to sell I'm afraid, but garmin 820 is great for multi day trips with battery save feature etc. Well worth adding to your list and plenty on ebay.

WANTED - dynamo hub
Bit of a long shot, but before I buy new I just thought I'd ask to see if anyone had a disc compatible 32h 6v/3w dynamo hub gathering dust! Looking at the higher end shimano offerings at the mo, but happy to consider alternatives. Preferably qr, but 15mm thru axle also fine.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks once again for all the advice. Jameso has been good enough to offer me the loan of a steel frame set that looks spot on, so hopefully I'm on my way.

Re: Drop bar off road advice please
Thanks folks. The vagabond looks interesting norm and point noted re the knob/mangle aspect. I must admit I've never broken a pair of carbon forks through normal use, but did once send a loose front light through my wheel and the mess it made of the forks has always made me a bit wary of them off ro...

Drop bar off road advice please
I'm hoping to do some off road stuff this year (cambrian and sdw itts, plus, if I'm lucky, torino nice are on the bucket list). I'd really like to put together a drop bar 650b/29er bike that is adequate on the road, but capable of some proper off road stuff. I'd like the option for mounting cages on...

Donate your unwanted cycle clothing to be re-used by Kenyan
If, like me, you have a growing mountain of no longer used cycling kit that you've acquired over the years, a friend of a friend is collecting it on behalf of a charity in Nairobi. Re: Gravel bike gearing
I've got a sram 1x11 set up with 50t front and 10-42 cassette on 700c wheels. Seems spot on for my mixture of on and off road commuting and the occasional road tour.
