Re: Deore cranks coming loose
Coming from automotive/heavy engineering background I too ,like Stu do appreciate a snot of loctite ,it just seems to make everything seem good, managed to get some pre loctited bolts out the stores at work so when the new cap arrives I'll use those , don't like using bolts that have been retorquing...

Re: Deore cranks coming loose
Checked the spindle Sean and all looks good ,think that little plate with the pin broken off may be the culprit ,so it looks like fitting either a pop rivet stem into the plate or looping a split pin through the clamp bolt and into the locating hole till I can get my hands on a new plate Cheers for ...

Re: Deore cranks coming loose
Is the pin on the little black plate locating into the hole on the crankshaft? Never even noticed the pin , I've been repairing heavy equipment for 30 yrs but these little bloody bikes sometimes have me pulling out the little hair I have ,give me a 16 speed gearbox to rebuild any day over indexing ...

Yup...still on...although a quick site lookup says they stop serving chow @ 4. IMHO, beer is food, so you may be served better by eating on the way, bringing something with you or joining me in the BiF mantra. Other option is to drive here...dump the car...I'll burn something here and we can go fin...

Nice descent in the AM from either side. Greetz S. Still good for Sunday mate ? Will I be alright in the pub as looking at the wea...

Well done to everyone sticking at this and I think if you've found a way that is working for you great. If you need to make adjustments or changes further down the line you'll know yourself. My loss this week is completely surprising, I was half expecting a gain, but 1lb loss is fine with me as I'm...
