Re: What was the problem with 29+
29X2.6-3.0 is the one for me and the main reason I still use fat bike frame sets these days, only tend to use the fatbike wheelset when it snows. Have an ally Henderson that lives on XR4 2.6’s and a drop bar Harry bow I designed myself that is on mezcal 2.6’s Using the fat frames gives “uk spec” mud...

Do you need qr or thru axle as fat bike standards exist for both in them sizes.

Re: Dub bottom.brackets are they rubbish?
The trouble with dub (same issue with 30mm spindle cranks like raceface and praxis etc) is that to squeeze in the oversize spindle, something has to give… the ‘solution’ is tiny little ball bearings, takes naff all grit and muck to make em feel cruddy, wear the race and or seize.

Re: Wtd - dropper lever with a 31.8 clamp (have post already)
Which end of your dropper is the cable gripped at?
The lever or the post end?
I’ve got a lever from a post end gripped version on the workbench I’d part with.

Re: Sram force shifter!
If you’re concerned that a screw is affected the force being applied to the seal, you could try a slightly bigger screw, the plastic bodies are all the same on force, rival, apex, I might have one in the ridiculous piles of spare bits on the workbench. Will look tomorrow. You could also try a smear ...
