Re: Bivvy a Month 2024

Looks a fun route, which bird hide did you over night in? There is a great one over at Steart Marsh that is nice for an overnighter if you push out past Bridgwater. BAM April - last gasp Took the Severn Beach line to Weston super Mare - deserted and not looking that Super on a grey day Quick bite at...

Re: Fat Fighters '24. The year for deflation!

:-bd My weight varies wildly doing weight training as I suffer with a fair bit of inflammation, but it should be still going down overall though, as I've plenty of fat to lose. The good thing is I must be losing it/recompositioning as clothes fit better, weights are going up, and my wife has commen...

Apologies for the late start here, not had the easiest of starts to the year, just started with a personal trainer who specializes in helping people with TBI's and similar recover, think I might actually do well this time.

I have been becoming a real fan of Old Poultney, distilled in the village my father in law was from, wish I could enjoy a dram or two, sadly while I am on my meds I cannot drink, almost willing to risk a seizure for a dram lol

Re: Happy New Year, and plans for 2024

Sorry to read that Loki. Could you get out on foot with bivi kit? I've been thinking of doing a hiker bivi recently, should have added it to the list here. I wish that was the case, walking is the problem I have, being on a bike is actually easier for me, I have learned that you don't recover from ...

Re: What was the problem with 29+

I think the consensus settled on wide trail or 2.4 / 2.6" tyres provided similar levels of float but without the downsides of a 2.9 to 3.0 tyre, as there was a decline in use tyre manufacture's reduced their range and in some cases stopped making the larger tyre, the same happened with many fat...

I have used expedition foods in the past, not too bad, I recall that Torq ventured into the meals market while at a race a few years back, they recently updated their range too I think.
