Richard Baybutt tried 26" on a 27.5" Cotic. Didn't die. YMMV.

Rather than sign up for anything too organised and competitive, I sportingly cycled out from Sheffield, before throwing a credible 21m90cm in the Welly Wanging. In addition to myself, I was also...

Sorry folks, but I'm having to bail.
I've caught whatever bug it is the little cherub has had this week, and am now confined to barracks.
Hope you have a great time.

Re: Bivvy a month 2018.

Celebrated the shortest night with a pedal out of Sheffield and up onto the moors for a bivvy. First time out in a hammock, and first proper outdoor test of my new 8g stove. Suffice to say the stove was hot, the hammock was chilly! https://www.instagram.com/p/BkVuo6in1KT/ 5th bivvy of the year, 4/6 ...

Re: Fanny pack?

I've got that Decathlon one. It is big, but the compression straps on either side do a good job of taking up any slack, so things don't move about too much. Seems comfy enough, and definitely helped with my back getting tired and achy on MTB rides. I'd agree on your feelings about waterproofing, put...
