Re: Bladder for frame bag

I thought about a custom bag too from my 2015 anthem - I wasn't sure how much clearance I should leave around the shock so I ended up just getting a partial bag in the end.

Interestingly Specialized do a front pizza rack / bag:

It'd have to be a pretty small pizza though.

Just received a couple of Alpkit Stem bags. Unfortunately my cookset doesn't quite fit so I either need the XL ones instead or a smaller cookset

Re: Lowering a water bottle cage

http://www.wildcatgear.co.uk/shop/accessories/mount-skidmore-bottle-cage-adapter/ That's the one I was thinking of, thanks folks They work. As do elite bottle boss bands. Halfords selling for £2:99 a pair ATM. At 2.99 they're worth a try and if that doesn't work there seems to be quite a few option...

Lowering a water bottle cage

I know I've seen a doohickey to lower a water bottle cage an inch or two to give more clearance for a partial frame bag but I can't think where I saw it or if I just imagined it so does anyone have any ideas?

2004 Lemond Nevada City (55cm)

I need to make some space and this bike is just gathering dust because I rarely go out on the road any more. It was mostly used for commuting in California in dry weather and then was in a storage unit for 4 years and has spent another 4 years in my garage back in the UK. The rear free wheel is star...

I finally have a problem that's solved with my solution of putting charging stations on all the wind turbines dotted around the hillsides these days.

Anslie Harriot cous cous works well - you can often get them for 50p each in B&M or Home Bargains

Re: Thoughtful Thursday - Just what is it we're after?

I was ready to blame the internet and the ease of disseminating information for the balkanisation and precipitous change of the cycling market. Then a child wandered over and peed on me which ruined my train of thought and reduced me to monosyllabic swearing. I dislike potty training far more than t...

I was looking at 29+ options the other day while avoiding work so came up with a list:

Salsa Woodsmoke, Deadwood or Fargo.
Surly Krampus or ECR
Stooge Speedball
Trek Stache
Singular don't do a dedicate 29+ any more though the Swift will take a 29+ at the front
Willier Jaroon+
Jones Plus
Niner ROS9+

Re: I don't get this at all (event)

A good intro for those that are new to such things. But I am disappointed by this: originally there was to be a minibus meet people at the train station to ferry their sleeping kit to the camp site ready for after the first day's ride. There is now no mention of this and so one has to carry kit alo...

Re: Now this I like.

That'd be perfect for a new 'road' bike if it was an alloy frame (and therefore about 1/2 to 2/3 the price) I believe this is the top end model, I imagine they do an alloy version ... could be wrong mind. Alas, this looks like the only version they do with 650b wheels though they do several alloy v...
