Re: The Perfect Bike Packing Bike
Must have the ability to easily run a rohloff hub for me, best cycling investment I've ever made. Also no silly bottom bracket ideas. Something like the ecr but with through axels, rohloff, dynamo hub and an ebb for an easy life. The tumbleweed looks good but it's getting into jones money.

Can anyone tag along with the LHC , not done any multiday events before and be kinda nice to join a group of likeminded people... That's the idea behind it. It's always been an open house policy. Other people to get lost with, superb idea :-bd on the other hand if there's no set route can you ever ...

Even worse is kipping in a semi crap spot when you passed somewhere which retrospectively was perfect five miles back.

A porcelain rocket Albert would fit, if you can get hold if one. Expensive but good quality kit. Another option might be a carridice saddle bag, some of the mounting options sit quiet high, I have a low saddle camper and it holds loads of kit.

Just spend £29 on this sd card. Pop it in the back of your Etrex and enjoy 1:50K OS mapping of the entire UK ... it's that simple. http://www.ioffer.com/i/gb-discoverer-1-50k-full-coverage-v4-map-on-micro-sd-613393020 Will this work on an Oregon 600? Yes  However, if I were you I'd get this o...

I've just downloaded the OS 1:25K for my iPhone and ordered a 1:25 & 1:50K card for my garmin, I might get the paper map for some bedtime reading, it's always nice to see the whole picture. Sometimes when you plot a trail on the computer you don't see the full enormity of what is about to befall...
