NB. Im gonna guess that youre talking superboost standards maybe and this kit https://fawkes-cycles.co.uk/dt-swiss-rear-wheel-kit-for-142-mm-12-mm-and-157-12-mm-adaptors-p25982/s56213?utm_medium=ppc&utm_term=dt-swiss-rear-wheel-kit-for-142-mm-12-mm-and-157-12-mm-adaptors-hbdt2193c&utm_campai...

Re: how to convert 142mm x 15mm DT Swiss 350 rear 6 bolt hub to boost standard!?

Yes, back peddling is what used to annoy me on the Sonder. In lowest gear it never used to like it. It was boost but I had a standard crank on it AFAIR. Decisions decisions...

Re: how to convert 142mm x 15mm DT Swiss 350 rear 6 bolt hub to boost standard!?

Doesnt look like they do a conversion kit for it and nor do I fancy spending £40 odd qui They actually do and 5 sec google reveals it costs 36.50 (CHF), so about 30 - 35 quid at your end. Yes, chainring will have to give the right chainline. This (what type of chainring) depends on your frame and c...

Re: how to convert 142mm x 15mm DT Swiss 350 rear 6 bolt hub to boost standard!?

I use non boost cranks on my Scott genius which has boost rear wheel. These are double cranks but I just use them with a single ring. The only issue I’ve had is that the max front ring I can use is 34 instead of 36 (the 36 fouls the chain stay). Thanks for this RD... I have a 32 on the xtr/non boos...

Yes spacer each side and spacer for disc with longer bolts (could probably have sent you one )
You actually had a boost conversion set John available to sell. I should kick myself!

Re: how to convert 142mm x 15mm DT Swiss 350 rear 6 bolt hub to boost standard!?

Thanks John. Yes, need to redish and add that adaptor. Hoping it arrives soon enough. The ebay kits, do they come with longer bolts and rotor adaptor too (I shouldve checked really as it couldve saved money/time).

Thanks again :-bd

Re: how to convert 142mm x 15mm DT Swiss 350 rear 6 bolt hub to boost standard!?

Thanks John. You might be right about getting an ebay kit (but something makes me worry about safety) ma be the only option. Or maybe get the conversion kit for the Hope Pro2 Evo then rebuild that into this 29er rear wheel!! https://i.imgur.com/u6QuYxX.jpg https://i.imgur.com/aSsnqgA.jpg Regards the...

Re: how to convert 142mm x 15mm DT Swiss 350 rear 6 bolt hub to boost standard!?

Looks like a Boostinator by Wolftooth would do the trick if it was a ratchet hub. But mine is not (and nor are they in stock anywhere!). Oh dear..

Re: rear wheel dilemma (boost/axle stuff)

Another option I suppose is to get a bit of a mullet setup going on. Not sure how we'll the geometry of the Santa's Cruz Highball would take it though as its supposed to be a 29er! I have a boost M1700 rear wheel in XD (yes, I tried the adaptors, theyre exactly same size as what's in the DTSwiss 350...

how to convert 142mm x 15mm DT Swiss 350 rear 6 bolt hub to boost standard!?

Thanks for looking (and responding). I have a slight problem. Assume the rear wheel I had bought and been saving to build the Santa Cruz, turns out not to be a boost. The hub is a 6 bolt DTSwiss 350. Looks to be a 15mm thru axle and 142mm across. Been on the DT Swiss site where you can find spare pa...

Re: a forum without advertising revenue nor subscription fees!

Thanks Mart. I often think I'm a bit of a wierdo (others would just give and not enforce it on the others  ) but I'm glad you're with me on this one. Spotify and the amount of ads I have to endure, really it'd be bordering on torcher (torture even) if we had to endure that on here. Bearbones200...

Re: a forum without advertising revenue nor subscription fees!

Thanks Stu. For a moment I wondered whether I may have overstepped the mark a little  but I definitely wouldn't wanna be in a place where we need advertisers helping to keep the doors open. This place has done so much for me (and many others for sure) and my cycling. So thanks once again Stu/D...

Re: What you done t' your bike today

Right then, after the little one had ridden the heck out of his tyres to almost complete baldness, we decided to pop the brakes (well, rear only so far) on the Carrera and get him rolling. Some lovely Avid (single digit or Ultimate) Ti have gone on for the rears. https://i.imgur.com/RvIb4Ig.jpeg Avi...

Sorry about this in advance - like seriously. As you may well be aware that I'm not in any way part of the admin on this here forum. But, I do use it rather it rather alot. I've also heard Stu say on a thread once that (despite the rising costs) it's for the love of it. I'm not personally a subscrib...

I have os mapping if you want it Can you still upload proper OS maps straight onto these newer devices? That's excellent Dave, thanks. I assume their mapping is Barter-approved too. I think I might just have to get one I'm hopeing to do the boundary of Britain at some point v soon and don't like dynamo stuff.

Thanks Dave.

anyone experienced/owning the new Garmin solar units?

After this weekends ride, the amount of time I needed to keep sticking the powerbank charger on, to allow the battery to stay up to 80% (in case the rains came after and I found it hard to recharge) was stightly annoying. Maybe it was the new updates on the Wahoo Roam v2. I only had the HR belt conn...

Sorry if this has been discussed already. But, in the dotwatcher day2 page it states It looks like both Alex and Thomas are travelling incredibly light with little to no sleep kit. This seems to be becoming more common place in ultras - the thinking being if you don’t have sleep kit then you won’t s...
