Tuscany Trail .....how many days to ride??

Thinking of doing the Tuscany Trail in 2017, so looking at flights.

For people that have ridden before, how many days did you take?

Thanks.

Re: Have I gone too hot?? Sleeping bag question

sleeping bags ratings are only really a guide, and a bad one at that. how warm one feels are based on many factors unrelated to the air temperature .....are you wet and cold, are you well fed, are you stressed, etc etc what is fine for one person may be too cold or hot for another. better to be slig...

Re: Peaks 200 2017

Does it need a group start? I know it seems "traditional" and there's a lot of focus on group starts....... Whilst on my own for bb200(*) it was nice having someone to natter with every now and again. ((although one person wouldn't shut up, luckily I had to stop.)) I suppose if one isn't ...

Re: Why does my Edge 810 do this?

as a guess, the garmin is telling a U-turn since the GPX track has cut a corner so the actual position is "off-track"; the garmin therefore wants to return to that location where they coincide.

Re: BB200 on a drop bars bike

the rocky river bed Didn't notice that bit. :-S Must have done it in the dark. In Hafran Forest, it's the next to last descent before you get to the ford. Not really a river, it's a washed out steep fire road that has a stream running down it for about half its length. I think that's the one anyway...

Re: BB200 on a drop bars bike

Had touring bars on mine. Small amount of handlebar palsy in my right pinky today, but I think that was from too much taking weight on my hands and off my aching arse. Will use a more forgiving saddle/tyre combo next time I think. :-( what are touring bars? still haven't decided on the bars for the...

Re: Lost and found.

Couple of things in my possession which their rightful owners may want back. 1/ A bag of assorted performance enhancing drugs, left on the counter of the community centre before the start ... how did you ever manage to make it through without them? Re: Thanks

Okay, I'm very glad that most people appeared to have had a 'good' time. Anyone who's not ridden a BB200 before and is wondering what the last 20km was all about, really ought to think themselves very, very lucky ... you genuinely got away lightly this year  I'd like to say a big thank you to...

we complained about the last 15km; how much complaint would there be if the 2017 route didn't go past the café, or if the café didn't open.

Re: BB200 Route.

So who actually got it right? I went on bing maps to see if there actually is a route up from the track after the star in pub. I was doing quite well with until that. could have been worse .....my (rigid) gravel bike could have been built in time. It was nice having suspension. perhaps next time I ...

Re: BB200 navigation

Seriously......Stop packing for your fears. You only need one gps unit. If it fails (and how likely is that) then just bail on the road back to the finish. Either ask for directions or rip a page out of road atlas to take with you. If you're doubling up (or even tripling) on this, what other stuff ...
