Can I ask, what exactly is the qualifying criteria for a rookie to be considered for the group start?

I had to bail at Porlock and head back along the road.

Totally useless front brake and spongey back one. After some very sketchy descents into Porlock thought it wise to call it a day. Seems you need brakes in Exmoor!

Great route up and till then though. Was really enjoying it.

I've got one. Really like it. It's mainly for carrying the little ones (will fit both on the back comfortably) and shopping. Although looking forward to touring a bit when the little ones are a little bigger. Rode it round the Bristol singletrack with slicks when I test rode one, and seemed very cap...
