Re: Moors One Hundred

I've put my name down as interested, I'd have preferred a wild camp, but it looks like a good excuse to go back to the place I grew up and ride around a bit with some like minded people generally talking a lot of rot. And its something FREE in Yorkshire   , what's not to like about that?

Seatpack Stabiliser

More setup than MYOG, but I found that my new perch, Specialized Henge, has 2 screw holes at the back for some sort of bolt on saddle bag, so with the addition of a couple of screws and zip ties, it's really helped stabilise my Blackburn Outpost pack :-bd Dodgy pic, soz. https://farm5.staticflickr.c...

Just been having same thoughts, ordered one of these, 230g looks reasonable for the 'cheap, light, strong: pick two' compromise: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/abus-205-combi- ... bike-lock/

I think I might actually get along this year. Long range childcare forecast shows kids will be at their mums, plus no scheduled horse shows, not coaching that weekend and nothing major happening workwise ..... maybe this year. Finally. :-bd Hurrah, hope we don't get the force 10 gales like last yea...

Re: Tyvek on the shop page?

Slightly OT, but do people use Tyvek to protect inflateable mat, I've got a Exped Hyperlight and I'm worried about puncturing it on splinters/flint/sharp stones/nails/twigs etc? I've not stayed in a bothy but pictures I've seen show rough wooden benches !

Might just be able to join you on that one, Fridays are generally my better option, I'll let you know nearer the time. I'll see if my mate from Watford is up for it as well.

Don't be surprised if he's not particularly quick though. His wife has been ill and he's not had a lot of time for riding. You don't need to put the man down before he's even started!!! Chiltern Spring Thing 2018

Well, it would be hard to top Sam's fantastic round house party at the recent winter bivi, but it would be great to look forward to ( hopefully ) to a bike & bivi with some warmer weather, longer days, early bluebells and less glue like mud ( :YMPRAY: :YMPRAY: :YMPRAY: ), i.e. A Chiltern Spring ...

Mmmm, well not quite sure what I've learned here X_X ; I always thought 'Driver Tizer' was the preserve of long distance HGV drivers, I need a sweet shop jar on my bog lid (where the heck did that come from), or perhaps I need to learn Tyvek origami? The usual night time stroll....

After several fine cask conditioned ales and roundhouse imbibements at last week's Chiltern winter bivi, there was no surprise that nature was calling as soon as I got cozy in my bag. Not wishing to have yellow snow in the porch, I tried to put my biking shoes on to go for a little `midnight stroll'...

Stretching the budget a little, but a Vango Force Ten F10 Helium UL 1 for about £175, really well made and only 1.2Kg.

Cheeky Friday Chiltern Ride

Just using up some holiday on Friday 27th and a pass-out from Mrs 3rd, so wondered if anyone wants to join me for a bit of two wheeled tramping in the Chilterns, kicking off from Berkhamsted? In the best of BB traditions, I don’t know where I’m heading, don’t know where I’m sleeping, but it'll invol...
