My participation has been approved
Most likely to be running in MTB singlespeed mode.
Thinking of pedalling in from the Haldon area
Sean - do you have a 'get home' plan? Will have space in the car if what a lift back
to the ferry?

Re: Ergon or esi
I'd say not Ergon...aren't they ergonomically designed to be used on a low sweep (9 deg etc) bar?
Aren't your ergonomics rather different on a Jones?
Doesn't mean they won't/don't work mind.

Re: New Kona 'Unit X' looks very BP friendly :)
Kona... do they make the best bikes? Superb stuff. Again. Rear wheel clearance looks a little snug! Do you mean towards the seat post? The sliding drop out is in a middle position. Given that usually CS lengths are measured from the middle position, the bike will still feel nimble in turns when sli...

Salsa El Mariachi - Medium.
1/8th Headtube, which could make a suspension fork tricky.
A few knocks and scraps but otherwise good condition, sat in the loft waiting for a new home.
This frame.......
Wheels are available too.

Re: New Bivibag
What size is that tarp Sean? The tarp is 2.7 long and it's 2.4 wide at the front and tapers down to 1.6 at the back. It's got a cat cut ridge as well as all the edges to help get a taught pitch. The poles I use with it are 1050mm front and 700mm rear. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48346298542...

Re: Dare I Ask; What Bike Are You Taking To The BB200?
....question is go rigid? .....stay singlespeed? No and yes  I ran 34/20 last year and it was fine, apart from around the Elan valley where the headwind was so strong I nearly had to get off and push on the flat  Normally, I run 32:18, 32:19 could work - not as fit and strong as you Sean

Re: New Bivibag
Hadn't thought of the Grangers/Nikwax coating option.....Borah maybe back on.
Tarp is a Rig3.5 so coverage is a little limited at times or I just need to learn to pitch it better.

Re: New Bivibag
Hmm....the Borah doesn't sound too good for a UK weather/tarp mis-pitch situation.
Current Hunka the original small size so have to use it on my sleeping mat, quite often slide off at the mo.
Something I could get a mat into and have semi decent weather proofing would be ideal.

New Bivibag
Time to replace the Hunka, being a factory second from the original batch it hasn't done too badly!! But it is now starting to de-lam. Been looking at the Borah's seem pretty good price/weight Are the seams taped or do they need sealing? How waterproof are they? Will mostly be used under a tarp so p...
