Re: Bivvy a Month 2017.

Late decision to join in and try this last night, ended up with a late night ride to a local orchard. Left zip on bivy bag open as it was so mild ended up wet when it rained for most of the early morning!

Will try and plan a little next time

If you have lost faith in the tent are you able to return it for a refund? It appears to have a history of not being suitable for its designed use

As its a gift Primus Onja would be really nice to receive.

Or Primus Tupike for something a little larger.

Great designs incorporating Brass, leather and hardwood.

Do you want with separate refillable gas cylinder (and regulator (eg Camping gas 407)) or with direct screw fit disposable cylinders?

I have been using a Nalgene ATB bottle for the past 10 plus years. The cover looks fragile but has been amazingly tough and has survived many unplanned ejections from the bike.

Re: Gas canisters in the USA?

The Edelrid cartridge adaptor http://www.edelrid.de/en/sports/cooking-technology/puncture-style-cartridge-adapter-keine.html is a good option for pierceable to screw top cartridges. (Pierceable cartridges are easy to find on mainland Europe not sure about USA) Edelrid also do an adaptor for camping ...

Re: Tour Divide 2016

I know I am a bit romantic about the underdog / Joe Blogs holding down a 9-5 but still competing on the bike he has been putting together in the shed, but I feel that these big races such as TransAm TD etc. are changing, with more sponsorship opportunities available to the top of the field they no l...

Re: Tour Divide 2016

Well you don't have to carry a SPoT in TD but would be surprised if Mike isn't especially as he is likely gunning for the record. Maybe that's why! He must have saw the way it finished last year and maybe wants to ride stealth so it doesn't motivate other riders That's not playing fair though. I've...

Liam's got a 1:20 lead on the others now from the Torridon split. Didn't Liam set off 2 hours late as well? If you mean, "did Liam miss the start and have to chase" then yes. No he does not have 2 hrs in lieu. Surely his time will be from when he crossed the start line to when he crosses ...
