How much do you want for your Yeti...?!
On the push up to Glen Affric, I sold every bike I had, apart from my 2 singlespeeds, so maybe. Yes the yeti will likely go pm me and I’ll send you the full spec

Re: Highland Trail 550 - 2018

Will Rich and Tom keep going (maybe for a 1am finish) or will they stop once they get down the Devil's Staircase? There are some quality camping facilities going up on the kinghouse site, toilet blocks, showers and beers ! Might be too much for Rich to resist. Plus it’s a fair way back from there e...

Re: Highland Trail 550 - 2018

Wow that was hot! Some great stories, and glad everyone (bar a couple to keep an eye on) is back safe, well done Scott. Ive done this 5 times on the trot, quit the first two, but managed to finish the last three all around similar times and I have learnt a few things along the way, so just thought I...

Re: HT550 - the 2018 edition.

I like a good push, if I didn't I'd have gears  it's a matter of choosing a ratio to give the best ballance against pushing on the up hills and spinning out on the downs/flatter bits. I prefer to have to work harder on the climbs than be undergeared on the flatter bits but I'm also aware that ...

Re: R.I.P. Mike Hall

I have never met Mike Hall, but I've followed his dot around the world since he won the round the world bike race. He inspired me to ride further and faster, ending up like many on here, sleeping in a bag in ditches by the side of the trail so I could stay out and ride my bike longer. Seeing his dot...

Re: Best SPD bikepacking shoes

I picked up a pair of Giro Terraduros this year. Simply the best shoe I have worn in my 25 years of riding in SPDs. Great off of the bike as well. A number of HT550 riders had problems with this shoe - basically fell to pieces mid ride. Depends on your severity of bikepacking I think! Another vote ...

Interesting trying to pick a winner from that lot, I reckon it could come down to a bunch sprint at the end!

Re: HT550 - 2017

Looking at the start list, I reckon the winner is going to have to go under 4 days this time, looks to me like there are half a dozen more than capable of a time like that. Dot watchers hold on to your hats !

I've read half that, Ian, but need to get out of the door to ride to work! Very good so far :-bd Wil come back to the rest later  I think the Bryan you refer to is Phil Fraser Thomson, on the blue Singular Swift? Thats right Bryan is way to fast for me, he rode back from before Dornie on the...

WOW! Did that really just happen? A truly unbelievable few days, once Ive come back down from the ceiling I might actually do a write up this time, so many inspirational people and places, I spent most of the last day back to Tyndrum in floods of tears, then more of the same in the car driving home ...
