Re: Lost and Found
Lost my Garmin, hunted for it for weeks and weeks before admitting defeat and buying a new one. The old one turned up in a drawer the very same day, misses still thinks I hid it there so justify an upgrade!

Didn't know about the Stirling Bike Doctor, will check him out next time I need a bike shop. My usual shop keeps selling me shiny things when I go in

Re: Talk to me about cargo cages...
Thanks chaps, I had looked at the Blackburn cages but wasn't sure what size of bag it would take, I might give them a try. What dry bags do you use? Alpkit?

Talk to me about cargo cages...
So I've recently acquired a Ramin 3+ which has braze ons to mount cages on the fork. My thinking is if I can utilise 2 cages I can ditch a bar bag and frame bag and save the lovely paint job! So what's the go to cage that everyone is using? Is there a decent budget option? And will these affect bike ...

Re: Packing
Last couple of trips I've rolled my mat, bivvy and quilt together and then stuffed around them in the bag, I really need to buy some smaller bags as I'm finding myself taking extra just to fill the bag out!

Don't think I've had a call yet? Not been finishing until after 7 this week and had a couple of private number calls, would that be you?

Re: An obsession with derailleurs
Great website. I think my favourite is the suntour one with 3 jockey wheels. I can't believe we haven't seen that concept make a return - for 80X the price and a Sram logo, of course. http://www.disraeligears.co.uk/Site/SunTour_XC_derailleur_3_pulley_system.html Just wait for an 11-60 cassette and ...

An obsession with derailleurs
Came across this website and thought it may be of interest to some, surprised me how many brands of derailleurs there were seeing as we're stuck with either Shimano, Sram or if your a roadie Campagnolo

Enhanced I'm afraid, the flames and meths came out really good but the rest of it was dull so just needed brightening up a bit.

Trossachs Camping Management Zone
Heading up towards Loch Katrine on the roadie on Sunday evening so I can catch the Sir Walter Scott boat on Monday morning from Stronachlachar back to the Trossachs pier and then return home via Callander. I had planned on bivvying out somewhere between Aberfoyle and Stronachlachar but I've noticed ...
