Re: All new Flextail Zero air pump

Thanks for the heads up.
Birthday in a couple of weeks , that's one present sorted ! Ordered direct from the states I believe, free shipping ... £36 including a battery, shipped.. code FLEX10 worked.

Edit Typical ... they appear to have a Black Friday sale with 20% off ... code BF20 should work.

Re: How much grief can I expect?

There's a known issue with the T5 2ltr TDI 180HP engines around that time, I think it was something to do with high oil use due to a fault with cooler, which often appears after 45,000 miles. We had a deposit on one a few years ago and walked after some research. We ended up with a 2013 140HP versi...

Cheers for the company guys :-bd Godivatrailrider good luck with your son, my son has managed to lose a fair bit since the summer and apparently is now at 12stone at 16yo, large frame like me. I went to that Japanese import site out of idle curiosity, and now have a hankering for a Honda C50. I'm with you! I've been noodling with that hankering for a while. I have a full bike licence, had various big bike, GT750, GSX750F, RF900, Buell.....but quite fancy a little scooter .... might be us...

Re: How much grief can I expect?

I've driven the 2.5 176bhp Sportline for 5 years, then got the 180bhp 2.0L sportline T5.1 and had that 9 years. Neither gave many issues, were a pleasure to drive. Avoid the 180 biturbo engine. Ok up to 100k then they seem to start drinking oil and that's going to get very expensive to fix. I got ri...

Re: Happy New Year, and plans for 2024

HNY. As ever get some weight off. I've snuck back up again ... not happy. Ride 2024 miles. This was a great target in 2023 ( I did 2040 in the end, 2023 wasn't a good year for weather) about 40 miles a week which for me in south Shropshire is a perfect baseline. Start my stretching regimen again. WR...

Nothing new to offer ... I ride a 29+ Rooster for most of by bikepacking and it's superb. But I like a rigid bike. The Jones spaceframe/truss fork combo has had a number of iterations... 29 ( looks too skinny to me), 29 rear, 3" fat front ( looks odder but work pretty well, but that front is he...

Anyone know if the frame mounting of the smart.shift unit is the same as the 'old' ones? Speaking to Alpkit just....
