Re: Sleeping bag recommendations

Good advise, many thanks, what do you think the tipping point towards a down bag would be? I did look at the Vango venom 200 at £130 but i dont think that its much better than the synthetic bag suggested? an alpkit bag would be nice but more again....

Thanks for the links. I'm order to maximise performance and weight I thought down would be best but not essential. Is down still best at this price point? Those synth ones look good! Maybe I should have written about 1kg and about 100£? I'd love a personal recommendation as bags seem to vary massive...

Re: Best/modt economical/robust dynamo hub

I bought an XT hub dynamo as it was: £65 from Germany Serviceable and repairable by a home mechanic with out wheel rebuild Generates more power at low speeds than any other dyanamo I attached it to a 29+ wheel and while i was thoroughly dissapointed with the light generation i was content with the G...

Thanks norm. I think that was the conclusion Genesis came to as well. I don't have the funds to try both unfortunately.

I'm still tempted by a 29 but it would be simpler to have same wheel front and back.....

And this is why we have such a choice of wheel and tyre sizes!!

Norm is this on all terrain or just tarmac / hills? Also do you think this is a weight or tyre issue?

Thanks
