Eric,
I have space for 1 person and 2 bikes. It's a Renault Kangoo type van. Happy to take one of you and all the stuff.
I don't know what time I'll be at the airport but it's some time late evening.

Re: Problem with either SP dynamo or sinewave revolution
Previous sp had developed some play and it was replaced for free, sent it in no time directly from Taiwan. Then it was 4 weeks heavy use last summer and no play or any other thing. I have to rewire any time I swap front wheel and I don't find anything wrong. I guess I'll need a multimeter or similar...

Problem with either SP dynamo or sinewave revolution
Hi, I have a shutter precision PD 8X and the Sinewave Revolution USB charger. It doesn't charge anything and I'd like to know if the problem is the dynamo or the sinewave. I don't have access to any other thing similarto the sinewave to check if it works or not. IWill I have to go for the Garmin Etr...

Nice write up, Nikk. One day I'll have to ride it.
I was browsing your blog a little bit and found some pics of the HTR '15 and put a big smile on my face. Can't wait for this year!

Re: Cairngorm loop grp depart 2016
Fraser is at point 100km now . Never been there but it's at the highest point just by looking at the route profile. Sure he knows where is his limit. Scary!. Tom went to the outer loop before starting the climb to the top. Now he's 10km to Tomintoul.

Depends on how my knee recovers I could join you, any time after 3pm. Back to the city very early for me but don't mind. I'm also based in the north I've done some bits of the north part of the smoke ring until Dorking. Another easier option would be plotting a route following part of the national c...

I ddid half the blue trail from Budapest to the border with Slovakia. Amazing ancient route almost entirely 500km singletrack. It's hard so better plan 70-80km day maximum. http://www.gpsies.com/map.do?fileId=mszsbcvvjbfrjmqw Check out1000miles czech or similar. It's a bikepacking race in Slovakia a...

Re: Any London based folk keen for a weekend winter campout?
Hi, I live in London and the idea of a night out sounds good. I've done a few long distance routes from here. Done east London to Surrey hills, to Swinley, to Brighton off road and back on cycle lanes, to the start of the Ridgeway and back on the union canal, to St Albans...my cx and mtb both are ss...

Re: Oval chainrings any good?
I´m also using oval rings, Rotor Qx1 32 and 18 cog rear. As this was part of a new bike build I can´t really say exactly the difference back to back but I feel my muscles get less tired on long rides and on tech climbs it makes it easier. My problem is chain strecthes much quicker than round rings.

Thanks Tom. I think it´s going to be sorted very quickly. I contacted Ison via the website form and Vic replied quickly and they are sending me a new one to this address in Spain. I´ll be here until 14th or 15th and it should arrive on time. Meanwhile, I´ll send mine to Ison UK. That´s a fantastic c...

Now I´m in Spain and in 10 days on my way to Alps, then on the move travelling until end of August. I think I´ll have to kee...

Re: tell me about dynamo hubs for charge and lights
Hi Steve! Had a similar problem with the cache battery. My problem was the cable to the battery came loose very often. I had 3 choices and took the dodgy one. I'm using zendure battery. Had good reviews and it works fine. Had another brand before and failed after 2 or 3 uses. http://www.amazon.co.uk...
