Also a new 'fully featured' saddle bag, much more like the Revelate one in time for the WRT hopefully.

I took two, one for each wheel incase of a major hole. Didn't need them or the tubeless repair stuff.

Re: The post man's been ...

Fingers crossed it should be ok. I'm using it with a MultiMate Superlite Air and will be in a very warm tent unless there is horrid weather then it might well be a bothie. I've go nice cotton thermals and a elite down jackets to wear so i think I'll actually be too warm if anything. quote="FLV&...

Re: Gear List

those look good, I'm getting an 8g meths stove for this trip, with a small bottle of meths. The biolight is brilliant though and we tack it camping and on the bikes when not loaded up this much. It's great advantage is the ability to burn pretty much anything. I've used every kind of wood and grass ...

Re: The post man's been ...

Autumn !!

Summer plus 100g overfill as I tend to sleep hot. I'll bring a space blanket incase it's not warm enough, but after a long chat with Matt at UK Hammocks it should be ok. If it's not then they will add some more down for me at a later date.

Re: Gear List

Cheers for that. I know the biolight/bag is heavy, but it is so nice to have a self contained fire especially it its horrible weather, the wood pellet is about 50g and will start several fires and the cotton balls weight next to nothing. I'll bring it but if I can find one of the micro stoves that y...

Re: Gear List

Got duct tape, medical kit and chain/links, forgot to add them to the list. The quilt will replace the duvet assuming it arrives today. Pillow is inflatable and needed for comfort. I have a spare spoke but wasn't going to bring it, was going to duct tape or repIr if I needed too. All bags should be ...

for the bbff, I'm bringing two tubes, a small bottle of sealant, a tubeless repair kit and some tubeless worms.

Here's to hoping I won't even get it out of the bag.

Re: Tubeless question.

They can be a real pain to seat and more importantly unseat on non tubeless rims. My dusters are a mare and currently have a nobby nic stuck on it that two mechanics cannot remove. However on my stans rim I can put tyres on and pull them off in seconds. Any future wheels I buy will have stans or pro...

BBFF 20% Discount Code

Hi all, I was talking to a friend of mine today, who works for Totally Fuelled the sports nutrition site, about what I should take supplies wise for the BBFF. He has said that anybody who wants to order any bars, gels etc from them can have a 20% discount if they use the code 'fordfiesta'. They can ...

Re: Water, Water every where an not a drop to drink

I use mine to top up the hydra sack in my back pack and once that's full, I then use is as a normal water bottle. For the FF, I'm aiming to travel light and just keep about 1lt in the sack, as there are so many water sources in the area to top up with the purgehydration bottle from.

The Spot system uses satellites so it works pretty much anywhere. I've had one for work since the first gen, they just work.

Re: Water, Water every where an not a drop to drink

I use one of these, filters pretty much everything you could ever come across anywhere, it's instant and leaves no taste. It also fits in a normal bottle cage.

Re: BBFF Day 1 Route

yep that's the double back route I was thinking of as a backup plan. My mistake on the power lines, I thought it was a dotted black line, but it's a solid one going over Croesau Hyddgen.

Re: BBFF Day 1 Route

Ok if the route down the valley or on the path above it isn't rideable , then I guess I'll have to back up and go along the North/West side of via Esgair y Fford and Mynydd Bychan then. Otherwise is it possible to follow the power lines over Croesau Hyddgen?

Re: BBFF Day 1 Route

Any chance you can give me a grid ref of where the buglin detour starts, I've got an os subscription so have 25k maps. I'll then redo that bit of the route. Any other suggestions welcomed as I want to push myself but still enjoy the ride and the local scenery.

Cheers
