Re: U.K. Hammocks quilts
My summer + extra down one squashed done to about 1/3 bigger than my Neoair xtherm large sleeping pad, so a roll approx 32cm by about 18cm.
There is however about a five week wait for them so unlikely for Christmas now.

Re: Wanted Bivi Bag
Hi Shuhockey,
Thanks for the offer, but I will pass. I tried getting into a friend's Hunka XL today and with a mat and quilt, it was cosyish. I think the standard Hunka would be too small for me.
Thanks anyway I'm sure Adam will contact you about it.

Wanted Bivi Bag
Hello, I'm after a cheap used bivi so I can try it out and see if it can tempt me out of my tent.
It doesn't need to be anything special.
Thanks

Hello, I'm after a cheap used tarp so I can try it out and see if it can tempt me out of my tent.
It doesn't need to be anything special and 1 or 2 person is fine.

Re: 15mm through axle uber alles?
I've got one of each. Can't say I've ever noticed a difference in the feel of the bearings. In future I will only buy the 8x which does come with the QR adapter, unless they bring out another one for the new width forks.

Northwave Boots
Anybody know what the actual difference is between the Northwave Celsius 2 GTX, Northwave Celsius Arctic 2 GTX, Fahrenheit 2 GTX, Fahrenheit 2 Arctic GTX and the Extreme Winter GTX. I guess the arctic versions are warmer and the Winter has the difference fastening system, but what about the other di...

Re: Spot tracker - borrow or buy?
Gen 3's are about £90 now, I paid £99 in Jan 15. It is much smaller and better than the previous one I had. It is used for approx 2-10 hours per week, plus 18hour per day during long trips. It only had it's original batteries replaced in Sept. Also check the tracking packages, you cannot get all the...

Re: PSA quilt is a coming
I used the UKH summer quilt in the UK winter last year with snow, in a tent on a crappy mat, with no major probs. Its super light. I've gone for a new summer one with extra 50g of down in the foot area and now have a neo air thermo mat. Should be seriously toasty in anything the uk can throw at me. ...

Re: PSA quilt is a coming
If only they had made one like the uk hammocks quilts. I'm just waiting for my 2nd one as Royal Mail lost my first one.
The first one was amazing though, which is why I decided to wait the ages and ages for the 2nd to be made.

Re: The post man's been ...
Any chance of a picture or two? It attaches with 4 cable ties ... they pull in opposing directions which is a nice touch. The rear is concave and has rubber pads to help prevent any slippage. So far, it's fitted every fork I've tried it on. I still need to try it properly but I have high hopes. Che...

SP's are built proof. I use both of mine on every road/off road ride I do, whatever the weather conditions and even if I don't use the electricity it produces.

Re: Sleeping mat decision
I bought the xtherm and I'm very happy with it. Toasty warm and it really doesn't sound like you are sleeping on a bag of crisps. Expensive, but worth it to be warm and comfortable. I got the large for about 20 quid more than the normal one @ http://www.bananafingers.co.uk/thermarest-neoair-xtherm-p...

Re: Carbon Poles
So it's only about 100g on the poles then. No really worth the hassle I guess. It's a Robens Starlight 2 tent, which I wouldn't want to trade as it is a really good size and is very warm.

Hello, Can anybody give me an idea of how much weight if any, I could save by replacing my alloy pole with a carbon one? It's made from 7001-t6 8.5mm and has 5 sections that are 432mm, 1 section that's 324mm, 1 section that's 408mm, 1 section that's 347mm and 1 45 degree bend in the middle that's 48...

Hello, Does anybody have a quilt they are selling? Re: Down jacket for under £100
£29. Decathlon X-Light. -5°C and 10°C 440g, packs very small. I have one and the Mrs now does as she liked mine so much, she now has one. They can be difficult to get hold of as these seem to sell out whenever they have one. It got me through the BBFF and the BB May ride as well as countless other e...

The UK Hammocks quilts are amazing. I used the summer one on the Ford Fiesta and was very comfortable. Shame the post office lost it, when I posted it.
