Re: Wanted: Hope Pro 4/Pro 2 Evo rear QR endcaps
They look like the kit for the front, not rear, but I could be confused. I'm after this: https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/hub-spares/hope-pro-2-evopro-4-rear-conversion-kit-qr-hub238/ Those look like this, but I'm happy to be proven wrong... https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/hub-spares/hope-pro-2evopro-4-front...

Wanted: Hope Pro 4/Pro 2 Evo rear QR endcaps
As the title would suggest, looking for endcaps to convert 12mm hope pro 4 rear hub to good old fashioned 135 QR. Believe the official kit is HUB238 and is the same for Pro 4 or Pro 2 Evo hubs. Unfortunately it seems to be out of stock everywhere for the moment.

Re: Fiveten Trailcross, any real world experiences?
Brilliant atk, just the info I was looking for. :-bd FLV's beaten me to it, but I've got Trailcross in 46, this was the same as my old Freeriders and feels comfortable. Maybe a touch narrower, but they might just need breaking in a bit more, or maybe I've been wearing chunkier socks while it's cold...

I have this model: https://www.adidas.co.uk/five-ten-trail ... E8889.html
I'll see if I can find out what size freeriders I've had before.

Re: Please can we talk briefly about pizzas & racks..
Wouldn't you thats a bit of a design flaw and the 'fix' as per Surly isn't the smartest design/redesign?? Getting out off the Surly now a little and might have to consider the Speciallized :???: I shouldn't have quoted 'fix'. I'm sure, with the new mandatory security hardware, both these racks will...

Re: Please can we talk briefly about pizzas & racks..
Oof, sounds nasty. What was it that gave way?! The funny barrel(?) bolts came loose, the rack pivoted from the mid-blade mounts, the bike came to an abrupt stop and I went flying over the bars. Took a while to realise what happened as I picked myself up. The "fix" appears to be some littl...

Re: Please can we talk briefly about pizzas & racks..
We have studiously ignored the Surly rack advice for the Bridge Club and no riders, or pizzas, have come to any harm. I've given all the fasteners a close look over and I'm content to risk it and blame user error rather than the basic design. While I'm sure keeping an eye on the bolts will work fin...

Re: WTD Surly Rabbit Hole rim
Would you be interested in a set of wheels? Unsure if I want to sell but have a set of Hope Pro 2s (maybe evo) on RH rims. All in silver. Dirt Wizards set up tubeless, possibly dry, probably full of slop and/or sheep sub standard. Freehub is mangled up, but have an new steel spare. Trying to bring m...

Re: SS road bikes for touring
The audax/rando scene is probably a good place to look. Plenty of folk riding those on fixed/ss bikes. Reckon 42:18 (~63" on a 700c road tyre?) might be a good place to start if it's bumpy? (Edit: or 42:17/19, as you suggested above!) I'm toying with the idea of rebuilding my 1x1 in 'road mode'...

Not those levers, but I did have a set of the the black ops v brakes and stupidly sold them a few to a mate a few years back. He's still looking for a set of the ops levers at the right price and is refusing to sell them back. I keep missing out when they do come up. Picked up some Paul Motolites th...

It's getting wetter, so why not treat yourself to a (very nearly) new waterproof jacket! This was bought in Feb and has only been worn once or twice to go to the shops. I've owned a couple of these before and they're a good, reliable jacket. Has pit zips, stashable hood, hand pockets etc. Claimed we...

Re: Exposure bar mount. Upside down?
Weird! I've got an older Strada but might take it out one night and see what the beam looks like. I guess maybe it's just wider/flatter. I always assumed it had a cut off, as implied in the graphic on their page

Re: Exposure bar mount. Upside down?
Have run two versions of the Strada and a Mk7 Joystick fitted 'upside down' underneath bars for years, especially on the road bikes. The display on the rear of the Strada flips so the text is the right way up, which tells me Exposure expect people to mount them either way. That's interesting... giv...

SOLD: Patagonia Micropuff hooded jacket
SOLD SOLD SOLD Patagonia Micropuff hooded jacket. From their Winter 2017 range, it's a men's medium and weights in around ~250g. I can't find the name of the colour, but it's a steely blue, with a lime green trim. Not seen much action, mostly worn as a casual jacket. No rips, tears and the insulatio...

Re: Lights - is this available?
I'm wary of Exposure's reliability and things like 'reactive technology'... I IME the repairs service makes up for any issues with reliability. I've only had stuff fail through my own stupidity and they've always been very quick (and cheap) to fix issues. You might be able to steer clear of most &q...
