I actually had a good experience in Pinedale. I had decent beer and food at the Wind River Brewery and stayed at a nice (but quite expensive) motel. I decided to have a bit of a slow start and stuck around for the buffet breakfast which I pretty much demolished on my own.

Amanda Coker's effort is mind blowing. However it's a completely different game riding laps of a flat 10 mile circuit compared to the lanes of England that Steve is taking on, and definitely easier to keep a high average speed. I've got a copy and it's a pretty good book with nice pictures but lots of typos and mistakes.
