hiya i saw your bikepacking trip photos,looks like you had a good time, met alot of you at ssuk, you most probably need to camp on route to your first hill, bit flat around your area :lol: surprised me how well represented your club is, and a decent bunch as well,lots of great info on here 4 of us g...

never used to wear one till i got chased by a dog, looked back to see where it was, then hit a low barrier broke my thumb but managed to roll realized it could have been serious my wife insisted i got one, a couple of yrs later i headbutted a tree the helmet cracked and was really dented my head was...

quick blip round the peak district with the wmmtb club, bit damp and a gentle breeze but the fatboy destroyed the climbs, and flew on the downhills love the area :-bd

think they come in at about 8lb frame and fork, use mine for ss and alfine 8sp hub, comfortable and reassuring on the downs, quite high front end makes it a bit fiddly to get the bars the right height and distance also may need to use a laid back post

just got 2prs from wych bearings paid a bit dearer buy cheap buy twice, usually grease up the cheapo,s but they seem to die rapid at the moment, so giving the dearer one,s a go paid £5-8 each

plotting a route

can,t remember where someone posted up about plotting routes i want to do a route for the wrt and get it onto my garmin 800 is it possible to do it on the pc without maps to x ref, if it goes tits up may tag along with the lhc, but want to have a good go at it myself,

i live in rugeley staffs, cross the main rd fields all the way to cannock chase, lots of bridleways in the area too, 30-45 mins from the peak district, and a couple of hrs from most other areas, only downer it encourages people from brum :lol: no seriously it has took a battering since the man made ...
