Re: When was the last time you went WOW ...

Re: Alpkit Bikepacking Storage
no, the revelate was more than twice the price, its better in that it is more stable but the fuel pod dors its job just as well, it just moves about a bit more

Re: Alpkit Bikepacking Storage
And to answer the original question, I 've been using an Alpkit Possum which great and as good as my Revelate Tangle and an Alpkit Fuel Pod which is not as good as my Revelate Gas Tank, its not as stable and tends to flop to one side.

Re: Alpkit Bikepacking Storage
that Lowepro bag is what I use when doing a moving photoshoot, I can get Nikon D7000 or D610 in with either a 24-70 (or 16-85) and a 70-200 f4 ( or a 50-150 f2.8) as well as all my usual gubbins for riding, its heavy on your back but the best solution I've found so far

all three of those, if I'm "panniered" then I take binoculars as well as bigger cameras and lenses, if I'm "softbagged" then a compact camera and small pentax binoculars, being outside and able to look at birds and take photographs etc is important enough to me to make room for t...

Re: Putting faces to names.
its been far too long since I sat with a new map and a highlighter pen, your post has reminded me of this simple pleasure I've a week dog sitting on Anglesey coming up, and though I know the island really well its time to highlight those back roads I've never travelled on, link them together, get th...

Re: Iceland
So, been thinking a bit more about this, looking into flights etc, the idea that the flights are cheap has been disproved, cheapest I can see is around £300 return (Easyjet with bike) and then all the way upto £1000 !. Not all have flexible returns, and most seem to fly in the opposite direction :-/...

Re: Your input please ..
I was talking more about how its been marketed rather than the bike, the bike is just yet another variation on a theme, but the marketing has worked to create a mystique around the bike, and the idea of the weight being upfront is not regular, and makes some sense
