Any new 29 plus tyres on the horizon?

As the title really....does anybody know if there are going to be any new 29+ tyres released this year? My chupacabras are light and roll brilliantly in the dry, but try to kill you when it's damp or wet!
I know about all the current ones, but would love a conti x-king in 29x3"!

Re: A carbon Shand...

I don't want to upset other members of this forum, it's an excellent place here, with top people, who all do the thing I love doing, some of them quasi-famous, due to me watching their blue dots in various races! But, it seems to me, that Mr Shand has taken one of these... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/...

Re: A carbon Shand...

But both salsa and on one frames are unique to them, not copied from trek, who spent over two years developing the design with the elevated stay, and then bought of the peg, before putting a pretty frock and lipstick on.

Re: A carbon Shand...

I'm certainly not having a go at shand, quite the opposite. The fact is, that I love the 'one man in a shed' aspect to brands like Shand....there are many other up and coming frame builders who I hold in the same high regard....I'd love to have the balls to create something individual and special th...

Re: A carbon Shand...

It's an interesting reply and standpoint, as well as a good go at justification, but like most people on the forums apparently, I don't buy it. I've followed Shand on Instagram for a while, and as I'm not a social media obsessed teenager, that's praise in itself.....I only follow about 5 people/bran...

Re: A carbon Shand...

I don't know how light people want a bike to be, but my large stache 5 comes in about 26lbs without trying....and even though I'm a ~~chunky~~ powerful chap, I've yet to notice any flex around the BB....

Re: 'alt' bar advice.

The early titec J bars (jeff jones's first effort, sold under license by titec) can be picked up for £30-40 and are very good if you can find them....if alpkit ever get round to selling their Fu Man Chu bars, they will be £25 quid and are almost identical to Jones bars....a slightly different radius...

Re: Foam locking grips with inner plastic tube?

A decent budget option is the clarks foam grips for old school touring drops....they sell em in packs of 4, and they are so long, that you have to cut them down for 710 jones bars....and they come with a set of bar plugs too, all for £5 from halfords or £4 from sjs. So that's 2 sets of decent foam g...

Re: Tour Divide 2016

This thread, and the one on the other similar forum, gives me great hope! Don't take this the wrong way, and it's obviously not aimed at 'our' svelte forumites taking part this year, but there are a decent amount of *ahem*, chubby oldsters taking part this year...and, as I myself am a bit of a chubb...

Re: ultra minimal multitool suggestions

I've got a little knipex (ooer!) ...it's a 5" one ( double ooer!!)
Excellent little adjustable plier with flat surfaces, that doesn't damage nut surfaces, and grips with very powerful force, so doesn't slip.

Re: FS Trek Stache 5 (18.5) and Jones carbon loops

Just to say that I've got a stache 5, and it's an incredibly versatile bike.....29+, normal 29", and 650b/B+, if you are that way inclined! Sliding dropouts, light as buggerey (mines around 26lb without trying) and that lovely shade of Miami green!

Bargain ;0)

Let's just say that I also have a pair of 710 Jones loops on my spearfish, and I hear that the fu man chu are VERY similar when compared side by side....
