WTD - Half decent small tarp

I have absolutely no idea where my tarp is, i thnk i've lent it to someone and forgotten who like a muppet.

So after a half decent tarp for one person, doesn't have to be anything too flash just a decent weight and not too big.

Drop me a line pauljwhitlock at gmail .com

Cheers

Re: Gravel Bike Components

Only thing i would add is don't use the Canyon/ Ergon seatpost if you're more than about 80kg in weight, they have a top end of 90-100kg and that leaf spring action puts a real stress on seatube of frame ( i used one for Paris Roubaix and had a small crack coming down from top of seat tube and then ...

Re: Chalke Way anyone?

I'm just across the way on the Suffolk Coast. Wouldn't mind tagging along if you'd have me and also a Fatty owner. Definitely, keep any eye on the UK Fat bike club FB page as there will be a summer fat bike weekend, based somewhere around the Wells/ Holkham area. Or drop me an email anytime if you'...

Re: Chalke Way anyone?

Oh and I didn't realise Norfolk was so pretty I live near Castleacre on Peddars Way, one thing we have here in Norfolk is ancient pathways! I am not a native, i married a Norfolk girl and couldn't keep her away, when we first moved up this way i did think i was going to hate it and that it would to...

Re: Chalke Way anyone?

The final stretch into Norfolk is the Ickfield Way that becomes Peddars Way, easy nice riding with some great Norfolk scenery and some great bivvy spots near Wells / Holkham area of Norfolk, i live next to Peddars and use it a lot as a way to ride completely off road to coast. if you do ride it let ...

Thats looks ace, great write up mate. I did a trip out in Bolivia over the Andes then crashing on the Road of Death and spending time in the worlds highest hospital after a crash, so i can relate to the distance you can travel at altitude, my mate passed out on the coach to get to the start of the r...

Re: Type 1 Diabetes & Bikepacking

Hi I did reply to your Bike & Bivi FB post too. I did a 500km 24 hour event a few years ago from Newcastle to London and one of the guys i rode with was a researcher at Newcastle Uni and T1, he was covered in a number of sensors and i explained to him my (then) 4 year old daugghtr was Type 1 and...

Re: Anywhere do similar to this gadget?

I may look to buy the Planet X one and adapt it, as i want to be able to run my rear seat pack still, the main triangle on my Beargrease (run 29+) is small so even with a Revelate Tangle small frame bag there is no room for bottle (s) in there, this seemed to work on 2 fronts, helping with sway from...

Anywhere do similar to this gadget?

I'm after something similar to this, but ideally that would fit a Brooks B17 saddle and where they don't charge more than the item itself in postage to get to me. Seems ideal if using a full frame bag giving two extra bottle mounts and with added stability of rear bag.. http://woho.bigcartel.com/pro...

My mate from Kings Lynn, Robbi Ferri (cap# 19) scratched last night, he said that his head wasn't in racing anymore after 3 or 4 really close misses as he came into Italy and he said it messed with his head as had enjoyed a conversation and a few shared miles with Frank and had it reported to him th...

Re: Exiting the Rat Race!

I think that you just need to do it,on a trip that long where you are not racing then a dependable steel framed bike like a Fargo or a Surly Long Haul Trucker are ace (especially the 26" version). Don't worry about bike being light or fancy, just ask yourself when it brakes in the middle of Afr...

Re: Anyone experience of these packraft?

Plenty of places near me to hire kayak/ canadian canoes, but no packraft places.

Only things that concerned me with these, is that it is a single air chamber so a puncture means the whole thing going down...vicar

Re: Anyone experience of these packraft?

I'd be up for that....

Often when something seems too cheap, it is, but this seemed to get OK reviews and i wouldn't be launching it down any whitewater. Worth a punt for that price, only thing i can't seem to find is "real world" weight limits for it.

Anyone experience of these packraft?

Would love a go at a fat bike/ packraft trip, but can't really afford the £800+ for the Alpacka models, anyone experience of these Klymit, seems a lot for the money and reviews seem quite positive? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Klymit-14LDBl01C-LiteWater-Dinghy-Packraft/dp/B00E4KOQE8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&a...
