This thread reminded me of this quote;
"Until you are broken, you don’t know what you’re made of. Being broken gives you the ability to build yourself all over again, but this time around build yourself stronger than ever. Therefore you will be unbreakable."

Re: Italy Divde
Sounds / looks like a tough route to race at this time of year. the updated route the day before the start Was that preplanned/expected? If not, that's a bit poor on the organisers part. That may be the basis of JH's minor off-route then, he said his GPS showed the right route taken there. Scott wa...

Re: Italy Divde
Raced it last year and some of the old snow pack was seven foot above the trail/road but the route was clear. Looking at the speeds of the leaders it is far from clear this year, they are just about to drop back into the valley then back up to 1500m on a road climb and just when you think it is all ...

Re: Why do manufacturers stop making good kit !
Market forces init ... people are driven to buy something NEW rather than just something new. Sounds about right Stu !! Unfortunately doesn't help us lot who like to pay a reasonable price and use a good piece of kit for years because it does the job. Appreciate the offer Ben, fortunately I have a ...

Why do manufacturers stop making good kit !
Once I find something that reliably does the job I will be replacing it with the same when worn out but very often I find the manufacturers have stopped making it !

Re: Bike packing somewhere warmish in December – Any ideas ?
As an example, in January, Chicken Legs of this parish found a 700km route running due south west from here and finishing on the Costa Blanca, I met him at Reus airport and we rode the 70km to my house where he spent the night. The following day I rode with him to the route and he carried on while ...
