Coldest ride I've done was Thetford WS1. 4 hours in the rain & Mud. I wore 3/4 Lycra & a pair of Lidl waterproof trousers cut off below the knee articulation. For £8 a pair they make for decent VFM versus Endura, etcs offerings.

I still carry a tube in case I rip the tyre. The goo generally does the job though.

I would always run tubeless where possible. Forgot the other advantage, running at 25psi feels grippier but less draggy than with tubes.

Every down item I've ever had has lost down to one degree or another. Might be worth a real close look over and check a seam hasn't split, etc. Is it possible to check the original weight to see if its lost a noticeable amount of filling.

Oh, I just noticed the Schwalbe bit properly. The Schwalbe SV19 29er tubes are fine but avoid their super light tubes. They are paper thin! My puncture problems have been with Maxxis EXC Beavers.

I've just ordered some tubes from on-one as I assume their tubes are made by maxxis like their tyres. I've been getting a puncture on every ride until I changed to maxxis.

Anyhow, I digress, they list two sizes of 29er tube widths and they're £2.50ish.
