Re: Fancy some Bar Mitts / Pogies things?

How do pogies work in the rain - does that water not end up running down your arms and into the pogie?

Re: Repair to Jack Wolfskin down jacket

How big a tear are you looking to fix?

I used these to repair a 5cm tear in my Rab down jacket about 4 years ago and still holding up fine:

Re: Bargain Alert Thread

I think it's because I made the mistake of paying through paypal and that didn't clear until this morning - they've only 650b wheels left in boost. Finding a cheap option for a 7 year old bike is proving tricky (100x15 front, 135QR in the back, 650b) which is why I jumped on this offer. Their websi...

What about glueing the caliper adapter/bolt to the legs using metal adhesive? You'd always have to use the same size rotor but that wouldn't be the end of the world.

Great stuff, I watch a US show called Full custom garage where the guy is always making stuff like this for customer projects, I really wish I did something like that for a day job.

Re: The post man's been ...

That is not tubeless tape in those rims I know, which did make me wonder if I'd bought a turkey; the website does say they're tubeless compatible though. Evidently there is a local (ish) bike place that sells 32mm wide Tesa 4289, so I think I'll be paying them a visit next week. Yeah the 'tubeless ...

I had to turn off the crash alarm on my Garmin, lifting the bike over a gate or stile always seemed to set it off.

Even cheaper from Superstar (and slightly hidden on their website) are these wheels, after discount they are £51. Think you do have to wait until Dec though and put up with a coloured rim. Super cheap though! https://www.superstarcomponents.com/en/fuel-60poe-xx27-probuild-deal.htm Cracking find!

Superstar have a big wheel stock clear, 66% off everything. - looks like they still have the WTB i29 in standard sizes for just under £100 (after discount) use code 66wheelset in the basket.

My new Copper Spur HV1 tent arrived today so I've finally replaced my trusty Vango helium 200 after 11 years of happy camping. Hopefully the new tent will be just as reliable.

Re: Hope bottom bracket worth it?

No issue with XT bb in my experience, the last on lasted about 6000 miles before it developed a creak. Got a deal on saint for £20 so decided to replace it. However, when I took the XT bb out , the bearings all seemed fine so moved it on to the lads bike and it’s still going strong on it.

Good spot, don’t often see big Agnes with decent discounts.

Try to eat out as much as possible

Stove is used mainly for heating water rather than cooking (coffees, rehydrated meals etc)

The closest thing I do to actual cooking is warming up my pre-cooked bacon for a breakfast roll

Exposure Diablo mk12 downto £140 at CRC. I got this light for similar a while back but sent it back as I was pretty unimpressed (poor runtimes, not great beam for a helmet light and takes a long time to charge) However, I know there are plenty of devout exposure fans that might make use of this deal...
