Hi Stu,
I’ll take this if you are happy for me to collect it at the BB200 next month?
Thanks

Re: Impending SP Dynamo death (again)
I’ve also given up on these as my first one failed just out of warranty. My LBS managed to negotiate a reconditioned one for me. I kept this for ‘best’ to preserve its life and it failed after about 200km!! Switched to SON and had no problems in 2 years of pretty regular use. I won’t buy another SP ...

Re: WTD: 29er qr disc fork
Hi Dave, not sure if these are any good, but I have a pair of old on one carbon forks that you can have for the price of a couple of pints next time I see you. QR, straight steerer and a longish steerer. Text me if they are any good.

Rubbish on this side of the hills as well today Dave. Got soaked on my ride out into the Peak this morning.
At least it has cooled down. My Garmin said 11 degrees on the tops.

I’ve only had the lentil dhal firepot meal, but that was one of the better dehydrated meals I’ve ever tried. I’d have it again. Which one did you have Dave?

Re: 2019 Borders 350/220 Registration Now Open
Hi Ray, I think I met him when I rode the start of the route last summer. I was watched riding up the track around the edge of the garden by a man stood with several Alsatians. He looked distinctly unimpressed as I rode past, but didn’t say anything. I am still really keen to have a go at the route,...

Re: Bike Trailer
Duncan, I can’t help in terms of a trailer with a suitable weight limit, but from experience towing our daughters about, I would definitely go for a trailer that attaches at the axle rather than seatpost. They seem much more stable in my experience. We had a croozer trailer when they were younger an...

FS: Praxisworks 10 speed 11-40 cassette SOLD
As above, cassette surplus to requirement as I have moved to 11spd on my cx bike. After £45 posted. Cheapest I could find online was £87.50. Was used on the spare road wheels for my cx bike, so plenty of life left in it.

Re: Summer Waterproof Jacket
I’d second what jameso says about the 7mesh resistance jackets/vests. Great in anything other than a prolonged downpour and pack very small.
Re the Berghaus, I’ve shredded both of the arms on mine on vegetation. Very light and packable, but too fragile for me to consider buying another.

Re: Long term lights: real world reviews
Rich, I’ve got an old exposure blaze that I really rate. I’ve had it for about 6 years and used it loads. Not sure about exact runtime, but it has done several multiday trips in autumn/winter where it has been used a fair bit and it lasts really well on pulse mode. I think they are similarly priced ...

Not used them directly, but my brother has a pair and really likes them. Didn’t feel that different to my sram hydro brakes when I had a shortish go on his bike on our last trip.

FS: Salsa Horsethief 2015 frame Large/20”
I’m selling my 2015 alu horsethief frame as it is a bit small for me to ride for any length of time (I’m 6’4” for reference). It has a fox ctd rear shock giving 110mm of travel and is designed for 130mm forks (I have a pir of rockshox revelation rlc if wanting a fork as well). There are a few scratc...

Hi Ray, I’ve left my car at the back of the car prk next to the Green Welly before as well and it has been fine there as well. Its a huge car park and always seems to have a fair bit of space.
