Re: Bear Bones 200 ... FINISH TIMES

Cheers! It was a medium Exped compression dry sacks. Managed to fit a Rab Neutrino 200 down bag, hammock gear under quilt, Uniqlo down jacket, and a pair of thermal leggings. We stopped in the public toilets by the damn for an hour to dry out, warm up and cook some cous cous, but other than that did...

After getting my hands on a GoPro some time ago, and more recently, Adobe After Effects, thought I'd put this together.

KS Lev Dropper post, DHB knee and arm warmers, and "Lifeline High Pressure Floorpump". Ordered from Wiggle at 1721 on Saturday, delivered 0900 this morning. vaguely exciting service.

Shame I won't be home for 2 weeks to play with my new goodies!

Re: How is everyones BB200 prep going?

Hello guys,

Just secured my place for the BB200! Really excited! Was just wondering, the guys who did it last year, what are the prospects for the use of a hammock?

Cheers

Re: Life cycle of a bivi beginner

The picture of your Lab has really made me want to take my Lab on a trip!

Maybe to keep him warmer, take a square metre of bubble wrap for his bed, and just put the warm kit you are not wearing over him? Would only cost you the weight of the bubble wrap - feck all - but should keep him a bit warmer?

Re: Hooded Base Layers?

I've got one of these - http://www.ultralightoutdoorgear.co.uk/ ... ll_on.html

I've worn it as a base layer,it's designed to be a mid, but works just as well as a base. The fabric is not as soft as merino, but it is by no means terrible.

I think I got mine for £30 delivered.

Re: Who here has done the St Bees to Whitby C2C?

Sorry to drag an old thread up for my first post.

I'm considering this route later this year, any idea what's it like for bivi/hammock spots?

Cheers
