Re: WTD : MTB cranks or chain set for pub bike
I have some FSA omega 1 x cranks with a 40t NW ring attached and a bottom bracket, if that's the sort of chainring size you're after they could work, if not then I think it may not be worth finding a smaller ring. Let me know if they'd be any use to you.

Made me laugh a lot that one!
Lighting a fire is one thing but leaving it unattended when it's not cold and wet is another.

Wtd Jones 135 unicrown fork
I'm looking for a Jones unicrown fork with the 135mm spacing so I can swap out my truss fork and give myself some space for a dog basket up front. Ideally need about 250mm of steerer.
Thanks in advance!

Do you know the length of the SLX cranks? I might be interested if they are 165mm.

Re: Dynamo lights
You can buy a K-lite switch but if you get a soldering iron and some bits of cable and xt-30 or xt-60 connectors you can easily make your own switch that has a cable to the rear light as well, so you don't need to use the K-lite blinker. If I get a xt30 connector, e.g., https://www.amazon.co.uk/FLY...

Re: Dynamo lights
Also means you can get it just the right length. Using some adhesive lined heatshrink will keep things neat, strong and waterproof and with some Sugru you can mount the cable to a handlebar or the top of your forks.I like this idea, I'll need to check it out.

Re: Dynamo lights
I have the k-lite, incredible light and makes me realise how much I strain my eyes with other lights, really feels like a I can relax my eyes while I ride. The only issue with it is that it's not a dipped beam so on roads you will annoy drivers and pedestrians. I used to run it on all the time but e...

Re: The post man's been ...
Dont ever do this I had a set of wheels [ bought on a bike] and the tubeless failed and i had to remove gorilla tape. It took hours to do this and alcohol [ on the rim not in me] If you warm the tape up with a hairdryer the tape will come off much easier, normally without leaving any residue. I've ...

Even cheaper from Superstar (and slightly hidden on their website) are these wheels, after discount they are £51. Think you do have to wait until Dec though and put up with a coloured rim. Super cheap though!

Re: Bushnell EBBs
It is bent across the axis in the second pic but really no idea how this has happened in service Perhaps there was an issue with the two wedge shaped nuts that move outwards and expand that now bent part. IIRC they have to be centred on the bolt so that they move apart at an equal distance as you t...

Re: Bushnell EBBs
I have two of these and not really had any issues with them. As Sean says though it's best to clean everything very thoroughly so there is no dirt in the frame or EBB, then assemble with lots of grease and get it to where you want. If you move it after you've been riding you'll get dirt between the ...
