Re: GPX for MBRUK Westcountry Way
Cheers FLV, but that is (i think) the Sustrans West Country Way (http://www.sustrans.org.uk/ncn/map/rout ... ountry-way) which shares the name but not the same route...just to add to the confusion...

Re: GPX for MBRUK Westcountry Way
Thanks Si,
I looked at that, and it's the same Plymouth->Chagford but then the routes seem to split. The EWE goes up to the north-west along the sustrans routes whereas (from memory) the WCW goes more north-east past North Tawton...

GPX for MBRUK Westcountry Way
Hi, does anyone have a gpx of the mbruk route The Westcountry Way - http://mbruk.co.uk/mbruk_WestcountryWay_details.htm (or a close approximation of it) Am thinking of doing it this summer over a weekend, and have bought the mappack but don't fancy creating a gpx if someone already has one. Cheers Dan

Re: Suspension forks
I'm a bit worried about the plushness issue. I already have a Rido saddle and a Thudbuster seat post. If you're worried about weight, cost and too much plushness, then you need some of these ;) Are those On-One forks truly dreadful? I'm after some rigid forks to replace an ancient pair of SR Suntou...

Re: Alpkit Numo - anyone used / opinions
Glad you asked...I was tempted by these too, although I was torn ( ) between a Numo and an Airo.
So can anyone shed light on either model?

Re: A tarp Q ... if you'd be so kind.
Being a lanky-type a pole gives much more flexibility in pitching options, so a cheap, lightweight option would be highly desirable. Like others I find pitching with just a bike tends to make getting in and out of the tarp tricky (possibly just due to crap pitching :? ), and also often ruins the vie...

Re: Alpkit Framebag Launch this weekend
It seems strange to me that they've gone for custom frame bags as a product, rather than seatpacks or fueltanks which could be churned out in 1 or 2 designs much more economically...

Re: Cheap night riding lights recommendations.
Huge discussion on this topic here: http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=20005&t=12660193 Lots of options including mounting torches vs dedicated bike lights. I have a "MagicShine" and a couple of the P7 torches which gives a whole stack of light for well under £100 includin...

Re: The bailout option?
All interesting stuff...and it does run a very real risk of descending into macho b*llox. IMO, it all boils down to why you're out there. To me, it's about having fun. If it's no longer fun then I'll modify my plans/goals to something that will be (or has a greater likelihood of being). As I have a ...

Re: TCW - Taxi back to Knighton
Thanks for the info. I've looked into the trains and the latest I can leave Mach is 14.07 and Dovey Jnc 13.54 on the Sunday and both have a bus service running, which I'm not sure will be possible with 2 bikes I'm going to be driving up from Devon on Friday morning, so could get to Dovey/Mach by Mid...

TCW - Taxi back to Knighton
Hi, hoping to do the TCW over a leisurely 2.5 days this weekend, but need to get back from Dovey Jnct to Knighton on Sunday late afternoon/eve. What's my best bet for taxi's/trains? Anyone got any recommendations?
Cheers

Re: Video Camera
Everyone raves about the GoPro, but I suppose it depends what you want it for...I've not sure my riding deserves 1080p  I've got one of the older Keycams that are reviewed here (HD808 #11 I think): http://www.techmoan.com/blog/2012/2/6/whats-my-favourite-insert-category-camera.html and can be ...

Not spotted it in anyone else's lists but what about a spare mech hanger? I know you can SS it in an emergency but would be no good for a long trip.

Foil bubble wrap sources
Hi all,
where's the best place to get small (ca 1m sq) sections of foil bubble wrap? I can only seem to find it on massive rolls.
Cheers
