Re: Cost v Weight v Size
Thanks for the comments, all useful food for thought Have seen the R ratings quoted, some quite tog and other just don't have at all which doesn't help. Buying the wrong thing will just mean spending again, hence the decision process I'm going through Suppose its ultimately the cost of a good nights...

This got me thinking about the balance between Cost, weight and packed size. Have been looking around at some options For example Quechua: Self Inflating Ultralight mat http...

Re: Anyone else enjoy taping bars?
Im a bit of a fuss pot when it comes to taping (or is it OCD?). It has to be absolutely perfect in terms of overlap and spacing it along the bar. I have been known to spend a good 3 hrs until Im absolutely happy, although in my defense having Jones bars the shape is not that straightforward Saying t...

Re: On-One Fat bike pre-order.
I really want one. Having never ridden a fat bike before, are they slower because of the wheel/tyre size? Tried one last weekend, would say its draggier. Mahoosive amounts of grip produced, especially over roots and the like. That said the tyres themselves are quite weighty, but negate the need for...

Re: Mug Size dilemma
Thanks Guys The plan stove wise is to get a 22g meths stove, which will replace my petrol rocket that I currently use. The petrol blasts out the heat and although small (by normal stove standards) is heavy as its made of brass Fuel wise the petrol probably uses more than I would in meths so would sa...

Mug Size dilemma
Hi looking for some thoughts on Mug size I'm looking at getting a Ti mug but there seems to be a plethora of sizes 450ml, 600ml, 700ml etc Eating wise, normally for cooking I have Cous cous, with a tin of tuna added, such like with the emphasis on simple but tasty Quite like the idea of an Evernew 7...

Has anyone done it... The Caernarfon to Cardiff route
Looking to do it at my pace over a few days Bivi stylee (not like some who could do it in one big hit)
Considering doing it this side of Xmas if I can get my legs into reasonable shape
Any pointers?
