Just checked, it will talke a disc and with EBB you could run it as a Fixie or singlespeed
Looks quite versatile frame for £180 notes

What you may come to love (I have) is the bigger rims and tyre's float at lower pressures - a real bonus when you're tired or slogging over rough ground when loaded up, more so than the ~200g saved I think. Hard to prove/quantify, but the reduced jarring from 2.4" tyres at 20-25psi on a loaded...

Just had to replace the bearings in a Superstar hubs after 2 yrs (on a flow rim)
Same bearings as Hope use on Pro 2's, so easy availbaility. Got uprated ones from BETD Goldtech
No other problems to report

Been running Flows for the last 3 years and they have been bulletproof
Been pleased with my choice of do it all rim. Very easy tubeless set up

A lot of people I ride with have Crests in 29 which suit them for XC

My swift with EBB takes some beating. Very simple to switch from geared and SS

On my lower half in the last couple of years I've had
- Long skins compression tights
- Endura knee length mt500 waterproof shorts

Both in the cold and wet, never felt the need to add more

Ive been looking at a Pipedream skookum 29er hard tail It's 853, can be run geared or SS. Tapered head etc etc Even Has a break in the chain stay for a gates belt drive All for under £400.... seems a bargain ( no fork at this price) Would give you the option of bouncy or rigid at the front Also come...
